Hi, New to SBD
Hello all!
I'm just started SBD last week after Chinese New Year. Today is Day 7 for me and I gained a pound back! :oP I had lost 8 lbs up until this morning. I'm actually doing okay on it. Thought I would get the raging low-carb headaches as I've had before trying to do low-carb, but I've been ok so far. Sick of eating eggs and meat. Any other suggestions to get through the last week of Phase 1? How do I change the tag under my name that currently says "Registered User" on it? |
Welcome Chinky!! Looking forward to seeing your posts. Happy year of the Rooster!

Welcome to the Beach!
Ah... I was just going to tell you how to change the thingy under your name... I see you figured it out. :hat: You can have some peanut butter to replace the meat/eggs. And/or beans... |
Welcome to the board Chinky:)I'm sure the one pound that you gained is water from the chinese food, its probably gone by tomorrow. I think you would like l/f cottage cheese with natural peanutbutter and s/f chocolate syrup on top.I make this when I have to go back to Phase 1. ITS YUMMMMMMMMMY!!! Also look up in the FAQ in the south beach section you'll find lots of recipes that aren't eggs or meat. Hope that helps Hugs :)BB

Welcome to The Beach in the Year of the Rooster.
Don't fret over the small gain - weight bounces up and down all the time. You are doing well for your first week on SBD. |
I got through phase one on boneless chicken breast, lean rump steak, lean deli meats, eggs and tuna. Actually not much has changed!

Hey welcome to the beach!

Welcome! How about trying some new veggies? I like to roast a big pan of veggies with just some rosemary, sea salt and olive oil. Delicious, easy and I keep a bowl in my fridge, nuke when I want them warm :)

Yup! Add veggies! The more veggies you eat, the more you lose! :D
Also, make sure you are working on variety! You can do a search on the forum to find my list of alternative breakfast ideas (I hate eggs), and as for meat, there are a gazillion things you can try! I just went to the library and got a couple of great cookbooks:
I also subscribe to Cooking Light and find that their recipes are very easy to adapt to SBD. You can look up recipes on there for free for a month: www.cookinglight.com |
