I get a daily email from Norris Chumley. Today's was pretty good.

You're about to eat that cake. Or candy bar. Or pig out on barbecue. A binge is coming on.

Stop for a nanosecond and ask yourself "How will I feel after this is in my stomach?"

The short-term answer may be: "I'll feel great while I eat this. This is really delicious." But what's the long term answer? How will you feel an hour later? Or the next morning? Will you regret it? Feel guilty? Embarrassed?

Remember how it felt last time, right after a binge. Remember that awful, guilty, bloated feeling before you do it this time. And ask God for help becoming conscious and careful.
