Hi there!
 
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Kris, I am 35, 5'3" and 211 pounds. I started the South Beach Diet on August 9, 2004. I am so glad to have found this forum as you all seem really nice and very supportive of one another!

I've had great success so far -- 12 pounds lost! I have about 81 to go, but I feel confident that I am going to do it this time and you're all a great inspiration. ;)

Welcome to the beach, Kris! You've done great so far. You might want to edit your signature to include your starting weight/current weight/goal weight like most of us do.

Hi Lauren, Sweet Tooth, Laurie and Barbara! Thanks for the congratulations and the kind words of encouragement and welcome. I really need it today. I am sick (sore throat, upset stomach -- generally blah) so I haven't felt like eating much today or exercising.

My usual goal is to eat at least 3 meals a day (even if they are small) and preferrably 5 small meals (this seems to work the best for me.) But I only ate a small breakfast today so far and it's about 4:30 pm here!! I guess I'll give myself a break since I am under the weather today. My brain still has trouble computing that the more often I eat (the right foods of course) the more I lose... duh.

P.S. Thanks Barb, I did edit my signature this morning, but I guess it doesn't show up in the older posts I made. So here it is now.... :)
