Smile SBD Newbie!!!

Hi all! I am new to the boards and the SBD. As a matter of fact today is my first day on SBD. I have heard wonderful things and my brother lost a ton of weight doing SBD and I wanted to try it for myself.
Well about me-- My name is Lisa, I will be 25 in december and I am from Massachusetts. I live with my boyfriend and our new kitten, Zen! I recently joined Curves for excercise and i have been feeling great but the calorie counting/low fat doesnt work for me. I was losing a few lbs here and there but it was so discouraging.
I looked up a couple recipes here on the boards and I am excited to try them out!( i have one cooking right now as a matter of fact!) I am concered about lunches though since i work weekdays and bring my lunches with me. I will surf around some and see what i can come up with!
I am excited to be a part of such a great group of supportive people!

Lisa

Welcome, Lisa! Do a "search this forum" for the word lunch. We've had discussions latelly about what to eat for lunch. I cook extra at dinner and reheat leftovers during the work week. Soups and Taco Bake work really well. You could do the Broccoli Cheese Soup as phase 1 if you left out the flour. The taco bake is really good on a bed of lettuce for phase 1 (or a whole wheat tortilla) on phase 2.

Hi, Lisa!

Welcome! You will find all sorts of great help and advice and support here. It's great that you are exercising...you'll find it really helps drive your weight loss and gives you lots of energy and motivation!

Leftovers of dinner make a great lunch! Some other ideas are a club salad with deli meat, tuna fish salad (with mayo) with tomatoes and lettuce, chicken salad (with mayo), 3-bean salad, etc. Great stuff!
