Good afternoon friends -
Not much time to post. The twins are asleep and I have a sitter coming shortly. Off to get a filling replaced and my front tooth repaired (chipped it when younger, its bonded and the bonding has cracked). If they are on time, think I might sneak in a pedicure while I have a sitter!! :) OP/Not OP depends on the day. New month, new commitment. Jenn - if you are exercising then you are losing more water. Have you increased your intake? Cause your body might have been used to its routine and is hoarding fluids to keep you hydrated with the extra muscle movement. Just an idea... I have about 1000 things I want to post to everyone, but gotta go get rid of some clutter around here before the sitter arrives. Carpet cleaners coming tomorrow (I have one room 12x18 with carpet...how does it get so stinking dirty??!!) |

I am drinking more water -- those Italian Sodas do it for me :) My clothes feel tighter too. I know it's muscle (especially in my thighs). I will hang in there though. It's just frustrating! |
Hello everyone!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful day so far....it's been very hectic here! I've been trying to get our Fall Calendar of Events ready to go to the printers and it keeps getting kicked back to me for editing--I'm about to pull my hair out! :) This weekend should have been better--DH veered off program Friday and he dragged me down with him. Pizza on Saturday, Chinese on Sunday. Blah. But I'm right back OP today--went to Neiman's (The Zodiac Room Downtown) for a special treat lunch and had their salad trio. AND I managed to leave the popover! Such willpower! Ha ha! One of the things I like about SBD is the flexibility! Finally starting to feel like exercising again--mono is the pits! Hopefully I'll be well enough this week to at least get moving. Skherb--nice to see another fellow Frisco resident! Whereabouts are you? I live in Preston Vineyards. This is getting exciting....
I'm baffeled by my body. This last few days I've lost a couple of pounds. It took me ALL of July to lose three pounds. What's the deal? It's like my body can't quite decide if I'm really serious about this or not. It's kind of like having a Phase 1 weight loss. I am being very careful about the nuts. Haven't been eating them "unconsciously" as I had been.
I have noticed that I will lose really good for about a week, then 10 days or so before TOM and a few days after, it's all I can do to maintain. Loss is very slow for about 3 weeks out of the month. Weird. Hormones, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. Anyone else notice this about themselves? Anyway, only 1.5 pounds until I hit my goal weight. This is so hard to believe!!!! Even if I don't lose another pound (I can't believe I'm going to say this....)I'm happy with my body. I'm happy with my weight. I haven't been this lean for years and years. I am happy with my weight. I will continue to exercise and do weight training. I will continue to eat this healthy. I've seen too many benefits to my health and self-esteem to ever give that up. I may even try and figure out how to post a before and after picture! The before pictures are few and far between, but I'll see what I can find. Anyhoo, thanks to all of you for giving me a voice to vent, cry, get ideas and receive support and encouragement. What a great place!!!! |
Way to go RNMom! You're my hero. I'm feeling extremely fat today. I think it's PMS. I had to go off the pill a few weeks ago. My bp was too high for too long. It was a mutual decision with my doc. Anyway I"m trying the nuvaring. I think my hormones are all out of whack. I know TMI. Sorry. Sort of OP day. Not quite Phase 1. I caved and had some no sugar added ice cream. Yummy though. Otherwise OP. I suppose it's not too bad. Have a great night everyone!
