Starting South Beach again...help!

Hi everyone. I introduced myself a few months ago but have been so busy I have gotten off track. I treid SB for a little while and lost about 6-10 lbs.

I started off weighing 206...then got pregnant and was about 250 after I had my daughter in late 2003. Im now down to 195 but would like to be at or around 155.

I want to start back on Phase 1 but I need food ideas. I bought the little good fats/good carbs guide. But can you give me ideas of easy quick foods to eat while trying to lose about 30-40lbs? Im not all about variety and I hate cooking big meals these days since I have a little one keeping my time full. So I was hoping for some good advice any of you have.

Any helpful hints? I have 4 months til her 1 year bday and I would like to reach my goal by then!

Welcome! Take a look at the recipe forum. There are lots of Phase 1 meals there that don't take too long. I made the Taco Bake last night in about 30 minutes. Some of the soups are really quick.

Thanks, Ive looked there and gotten some ideas...

Do any of you have any helpful hints for Phase 1 to make it succesful?

Drink lots of water and eat often enough. Eat your legumes.

Good luck

You'll be glad you're doing this again. There's a ton of ideas to be had on the recipes section.

Since you are not too crazy about cooking let me share with you my doctor's advice. He said to pick out three breakfasts, three lunches, and four dinners that you really enjoy eating. Make sure you have the ingredients to make any one of those meals in the house at all times. Then enjoy. It just so happens I love to cook so I like to try different things all the time. Good luck.
