Hello, can I join?

Hello! I'm so happy to have found this group! I'm on day 4 of SBD and I'm doing ok. I really miss Cheetos and sandwhiches and chocolate! I'm not a big meat eater so it's a little tough for me. The worst time of the day for me is the afternoon. I have yet to find some great lunches to pack or some good afternoon snacks that don't involve eating a pile of deli turkey! I've made some pretty good dinners though so far so that really helps. I always have lots of questions about this so hopefully you'll be able to answer them! I have all 3 SBD books too. They are pretty good!

Welcome welcome welcome!!

I am sure you will find support and ideas here a plenty. Lunches are my biggest challenge also, but I find that now I am in the habit of planning ahead I am getting more creative.

Good luck and happy losing.

Welcome to the Beach! If you have access to a microwave at lunch, the Taco Bake is wonderful. I make it for dinner and then eat the leftovers for lunch. Check the recipe section under Entree - Phase 1. During Phase 1 I would eat it on a bed of lettuce. Check out some of the phase 1 soups too. They are great for lunch.

Welcome to The Beach. My only piece of advice is to keep it as simple as possible during Phase I with no deviations from the approved foods. It's only two weeks.

Hey Newbie! Good luck with everything! I'm on Week 2 of Phase 1, and I think I'm going to extend my Phase 1 another week or so. It's really not so bad, is it? Hope you succeed and if you have any questions, we're here to help! :joker:

Welcome!

There are tons of things to eat in the afternoons:
  • celery sticks with natural peanut butter, laughing cow light, or dipped in SBD friendly dressing
  • Part skim mozzarella string cheese
  • Red bell pepper strips dipped in hummus
  • 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with diced cucumber and/or tomato
  • 1/2 cup of plain lowfat yogurt with a bit of SF syrup and some ground flax seeds

Hope that helps!
