Good Sunday morning to all you Beach Chicks~~
Barb, how tall are you? If we were neighbors, I'd say we could borrow out of eachother's closets! I'm right at the same weight you are and I wear the same size clothing, right down to the bra size! What a coinkydink! I also had a good shopping day yesterday. Hubby amuses himself by playing the scratch off lottery tickets. He's done pretty well and yesterday, he turned $10 that he'd gotten for filling out a survey into $120. His philosophy is to "share the windfall" so we went to Dillards, I scored 2 new blouses and a polo shirt! :D All on sale, too. We invited dd's boyfriend over for dinner this afternoon. So, after I get back from handspinners guild, I turn into the Grill Mistress. Hamburgers. I'm taking advantage of the grill and throwing on a couple of chicken breasts to eat this coming week. Grilled chicken Caesar salads...yummm.... Nothing else to report here, so I'll go get myself ready to face the day. Mamacita |
Karen - Our friend borrows it from his work. It was awesome! I highly recomend trying it if you can. Projectors are pretty expensive to purchase though, like $800 and up. Borrowing or renting one (if you could find somewhere) is the way to go. For the screen you can use a white bedsheet.

Quick good morning as am typing one-handed. Grrrrrr!
The left wrist and fingers are sprained - just thumb and forefinger work - and I've damaged a muscle at the back of my upper right arm. Can't remember the name of the muscle but it's not the bicep. I have two badly bruised knees so life is not much fun this morning! Anybody want to come over and hook my bra for me? Dr. Bob has me with my CTS splint on my left hand and has given me Tylenol3 for the pain. If I'm not around much, it's because I just want to whine! I am skipping Church this morning and will soak in the tub for a while before I tackle the bra marathon again! |
Ruth :grouphug: That is a total bummer. :(
Barb Yeah for you! Esp the 16s, which you said in an earlier post that you weren't sure you were ready for. Watch out 14s, here you come!!!! Laurie Hope you and DH enjoyed your anniversary yesterday! Still freaking raining here. UGH!! We are playground people, let us get outside!!! Cheated last night and am pissed at myself. DH got home from work about 8:00 or so, so he had a pizza. After everyone went to bed, I ate two pieces. Not even hungry, just stupid eating. Grrr..... Need to get DD some breakfast! |
Morning chickies DH let me sleep in til 9:30 this morning and I woke up to a Tim's Tea he is so sweet. So I am up and have a load of laundry on the line and one in the washer. I am going to try not to use my dryer this summer if possible. So since there has been no sun in the last few days I have a huge pile of laundry to do. some general clean up and then I think I will sit in the sun and read the SBD book that I finally got from the library I was on a waiting list for months. Maybe if I read the book it will make a difference  .
Ruthie take care of that arm chickie....maybe you could hire a real cutie to come help you get dressed in the mornings. :p Ellis didn't mean to worry you just busy.... the wedding is coming soon. I tired my dress on the other day and it looks nice. I will post pictures after the wedding. Have a great day. Barb what a feeling to get into a smaller size. You must be on :cloud9: Laurie HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Hope you enjoyed you day. Kiko don't beat yourself up chickie just get back on track. Have a great day. kaetra what a great way to spend a night. Well I must go a friend just come in for a visit and I am still in my jammies with bedhead. I tell ya I look real cute. :fr: Have a great day chickies. |
Good Sunday morning, all!
Yesterday, DH and I went to the nursery, and scored some herbs from the half price table - I potted them up and put them on the deck outside our bedroom door. Yum - fresh parsley and oregano and sage and thyme! It all smells so good! We also went to a fairly expensive specialty grocery store. They carry lots of good stuff - we were looking for the Laughing Cow light, instead of the regular, which is all our local supermarket carries (got it - I admit I like the all-fat better, but's I'm trying to keep cholesterol down on this). The most self-indulgent thing I bought was cut-up celery in fresh water - I'll change the water every day, and they stay fresh. I KNOW I can do this myself, but how decadent! We also scored beef cut up for stroganoff at $3.99 - we had a great stir fry last night. And we bought frozen farm-raised quail - both my DH and I hunted as kids - I can hardly wait to eat quail without buckshot :) Ruth = you take care of yourself - I'm amazing how much we depend on our hands and arms! Mamacita - I'm 5' 2". How tall are you? That is interesting that we are the same weight and size. Guess Georgia is a little far to exchange clothing.
Karen - I am so sick of rain! We had two boys over all afternoon playing Nintendo with our son. It is amazing how much noise three 6 or 7 year old boys can make! They ate Taco Bake for lunch and not one of them realized they were eating mushrooms, peppers and onions. :) Ruth - Sorry about the injury. Hope you feel better soon :crossed: My upgrade did end successfully last night and I got home and to bed by 2am. I got to bring home the veggie tray that my manager bought for Annelyn and I. Yum!! She got the fruit which was fine with me. Neither of us even opened the pretzels. :cb: My DH did NOT go to bed when he should have and was waiting up when I got home. Wanna make a guess as to which one of us had to get up with Brian at 7 this morning? At least I got 5 hours of sleep. Then I spent the morning mopping and cleaning the house since we had people coming over. |
