Default visiting from the prevention boards

Hi, I'm new on this message board.
I've been on South Beach since January, lost 32 pounds, 21.25 inches, a couple dress sizes and lowered my high blood pressure, I'm normal now. Yeah!

It's basically been pretty easy, I'm not hungry unless I'm busy and haven't had time to eat yet. I've hit several stalls, I tend to loose a couple pounds then stay there for a month or so then loose a little more. I've never been a consistant 1-2 pound a week looser. I tend to be an big eater so I have no one to blame but myself. At least I'm not gaining my weight back like I usually do when I diet. But since this is not a diet but a life style change I won't have that problem right?

This message board seems more relaxed and not as intense as the prevention board. I still read and post over there occasionally put I'm looking for some new friends.

About me? well, I'm 40, married, no kids. I'm a biologist and live in the Washington DC metro area. Cicadas everywhere, sort of sounds like the 1950's special affects sounds for space ships when they all get going.

Sarah

Hi, Sarah! Welcome!

on your weightloss to date...very impressive, as are your inches lost! Awesome!

We are missing the whole cicada fiasco being up here in NY. Sounds like quite the event!

Hi Sarah - that's how I ended up here. I started in January. Had a major home remodel that put everything on hold.

I'm start Phase one again.....but I have to say that SBD works and the chicks here are great! Welcome.

excellent success, congrats!

Hi There, welcome we can always new friends. Great job on the loss. I know what you mean about the intensity thing on other boards. I was on one that had alot of negative feed back and discussions on how to get around the suggetions of Dr. A. i have to admit that i still look in on some of those sites, but i tell you what i get more healthy information and support here than any other forum.

Hi, Sarah -- I work in DC, too! Welcome. I'm loving the little buzzers this year -- reminds me of when I was a kid

Welcome to The 3FC Beach, Sarah.
what a coincidence! i was visiting a friend's studio and he showed me some cast stone cicadas! They are just super and fun to hold. Quiet too!
