). What I'm wondering is: Why is sugar free pudding allowed but not sugar free ice cream? I'm not debating it at all, I'm just trying to get my head around the "rules" so I can have something to go by besides rote memory of every detail of the food lists....Both are dairy-based, both have artificial sweeteners, and comparable calories (70-100 per half cup). I guess it would just be comforting for me to have a guideline so it all becomes "second nature." Truth is, I think the s/f ice cream was in fact giving me cravings, and I gained a bit...but I didn't even "recognize" the cravings, because they used to be so much a part of my life it was easy to just fall back into them... But since I haven't had it for a day and a half, I feel more "stable" again...
