Smile New to the beach, have a question about exercise r/o

Hi Everyone!
I'm planning on starting the SB diet tomorrow and am a little nervous. Being a sugar carb addict I'm scared I won't be able to make it through phase 1 but I'm gonna give it my best!

Anyways, right now I am working out about 3 to 4 times a week, for an hour each time, mostly cardio. Should I follow phase 1 strictly or should i have a tiny bit of carb since I am working out. Seems like some ppl add a little bit and some just keep to strict phase 1. What do you all feel is best?

Thanks!
Cheryl

The point of phase one is to get rid of your carbo cravings. The exercise that you are getting is ideal so I wouldn't recommend eating carbs because of it. It will be difficult to get rid of the cravings if you are still eating them. You will be surprised, after two weeks you won't feel like a lot of starchy or sweet foods. The first few days are the hardest but it is really worth persevering.

Good luck!

hi cheryl welcome to the beach!!! i agree with chick on the beach, the point of phase 1 is to help with the cravings you will be surprised at how the cravings go away after the first few days. make sure you eat the good carbs that are allowed and you will do fine. good luck!!

One addict to another, it's hard but it's worth it. I can't say that my cravings ever go away 100%, but they're much less demanding now. I just make sure to have a small bag of nuts with me and I can usually make it through fine. Sugar free chocolate pudding, sugar free jello, and Cool Whip Free have also been a great help (just be careful to only eat a small amount at once). Good luck to you!

One thing that helped me in Phase 1, Cheryl, was eating legumes. I think they provided a few more carbs than other veggies so that I very rarely felt dragged out.

Good luck and welcome to the beach. Jo

Even my hubby is admitting to much-reduced cravings -- Cookie-Boy is surviving He says he feels like he's thinking more clearly, too, without the sugar. It's amazing the difference living without tons of sugar akes!
