Default Water weight?

Hi again. I'm a newbie with lots of questions. This question is about water weight. I don't recall seeing anything in the book about losing alot of water weight, but I did see it mentioned here. And I notice that i've been peeing like crazy So what's the deal with water weight and are we losing fluids or fat the first 2 weeks?

Welcome, Wendy! Yes, it's mostly water weight. Particularly during the first week. But that's okay! The fat is the next to go. Keep drinking LOTS of water.

I have also been getting rid of a lot of water. And no caffeine!

Why do we lose so much in water? Is it cause of all the water in the veges? I always drink alot of water so for me it's not cause I've increased how much I drink.
