Results that I can see!

So far I've lost 32.5 pounds. Been doing SB since the end of January. I need to figure out how to do the profile thingy, I love seeing everyone's stats and haven't put mine down. (I'm computer challenged)

Anyway, people are commenting to me that I look good and what am I doing and all that stuff. I told my husband "I just don't see it yet" It dawned on me that of course I don't. I didn't see myself getting fat either, why should I see myself losing weight? I need to work on that. Someone at work took my picture without my knowing it a couple of days ago. The clothes are hanging on me. Time to get some new ones I guess.

Anyway, I'm rambling, sorry! :) Saturday I asked the ER doc to write me an order to get some blood tests done. I was curious to see if there was a change. So I'm going to share that with you. These are concrete, "I can SEE changes" Did me a world of good.

2003
Cholesterol 279
Triglycerides 315
I can't remember the HDL or LDL
Cardiac Risk index was 3.1

2004
Cholesterol 176
Triglycerides 89
HDL 33
LDL 125
Cardiac risk 1.2

Both were fasting blood draws. Pretty darn impressive to me. I was ready to be put on cholesterol and sugar lowering meds. Triglycerides were very concerning to me, it's a very underestimated killer. I need to elevate the HDL and lower the LDL, but I'll keep doing what I'm doing and relax.

So anyway, that's my happy story of the day.

:bravo: Great test results and a great weightloss. I bet the HDL and LDL levels are better than they were last year too.

WTG RNMOM! I wasn't "seeing" it either until I broke out the tape measure. That and as you stated, clothes (my regular ones, cannot tell in my scrubs) start to fit a bit more loosely.

Hurrah for you on the bloodwork and dropping the lbs. Results like that make it all worthwhile. And THEN, there's the shopping for new clothes. Gotta love it.
