Default How much do you limit the *amount* you eat?

I know that you're not supposed to be hungry on this diet, but it takes a lot of food for me not to feel hungry because I workout six times a week. The menus he has in the book honestly don't have that much food on them, and I find I have to eat more than he lists to feel satiated. How much do you watch portion sizes and the like on this plan? I know specific items are limited, but I mean beyond those guidelines. Thanks!

I eat a lot because I walk miles every day and swim miles every week. I use the weight watchers system to monitor my portions and serving sizes. Actually this is to make sure that I get enough calories not the other way around. In general I aim for 1000-1500 calories per day. I aim for about 100 grams (3-4 oz) of protein-based food per breakfast and lunch and about 200 grams (6-7oz) for dinner. For snacks I will often have a low fat yogurt and slice of low-fat cheese and a small handful of nuts. I am still losing weight on this and find I don't feel hungry but am not completely satisfied either. The water helps curb my appetite as does the 4 cups of vegies a day.

The rule I follow is eat until you don't feel hungry, not until you feel full. I must say at first I was eating my usual portions because I was always hungry. Now in week 3 I find less satisfies me. I had no problem with the wt sill coming off in the beginning either with the large portions I was eating.
