Going on vacation

I'm a little worried. I've been so good on SB for 3 weeks now and have lost 15 pounds, but now comes my first real temptation. We head off tormorrow for a week's vacation. We're going to my parents' home, which is on the beach in Florida. (Thus, I WILL walk the beach every morning, which is about a 3 mile trek.)

Anyone have any great (or even moderately average  ) words of wisdom for me? My mom knows I'm on the SBD, but like all moms, she may try to show her "love" by baking goodies. My goal is to not gain any weight.

Call your mom today and tell her, if you haven't already, about your recent weight loss and how excited you are about staying on program. Explain what you want to try your best to stay away from, and ask for her help. Moms like to help.
I have advice for you. You're gonna be in FL! Eat lots of seafood! Yummmm! and get a tan for me while you're there!

Thanks for the advice, Jennie. Actually I'm not a big seafood eater, but I'm going to try to remember this is a vacation of sun and fun, NOT a vacation of food. :D The food should absolutely be secondary. Fortunately I gave up chocolate candy bars (well, all candy for that matter) for Lent. That will help a lot. Unfortunately I forgot to include cookies and pies!! :dizzy:

Tell your Mom you'll take your cookies/piece of cake "to go", and heave them into the ocean while on your walk.
Have a wonderful time, Cassidy!
