Bikini Bound Beach Newbie
Hi all!
Really I'd settle for feeling comfortable in any swimsuit this summer! :cool: Anyway I started SBD a little under the week ago and am down about 5lbs. I passed a major test yesterday by eating out and ordering only soup and salad (and stealing only 3 fries from a neighboring plate). Ideally I'm hoping to stay on Phase I two weeks when I scheduled to leave for a trip to Atlanta (where I'm hoping not to fall completely off the carb wagon) and get back onto Phase I for another two weeks when I return. Then I hope that another three months at Phase II should see me at a lose of 35 more lbs or so by summer. Experienced South Beachers - is this a reasonable goal? Keep in mind that during the first week the only exercise I could manage was battling my biscuit, cake and english muffin cravings. I hope to add at least 30 minutes a day this week. The 5 lbs so far is great but I'm seem to be paranoid it's gonna stop any minute. :?: Mony 179/174/135 start SBD 2-17-04 mini goal 169 3-2-04 |
welcome to the beach mony!!! congrats on your loss so far. i am only in my 2nd week of sbd so i can't answer your ???'s but i'm sure one of these experienced beauties will.

Welcome to the beach! I'm not that far along in it either. But I do know that you can do phase 1 while traveling. I went out of town during my first week and stayed on program and lost 3.5lbs. that week. Hope to see hangin on the beach!

Ummm... when is summer? :D I wouldn't count on more than about a one pound loss per week. You don't have a huge amount to lose, and you're bound to screw up occasionally. Set your sights a bit lower... maybe you'll surprise yourself! :lucky: |
