My First Slip-up

Well everyone, I guess it had to happen.
Ever since I started this diet I have had a pizza craving. Non-stop. And so last night I came remarkably close to ordering a pizza. And I didn't. :D I told myself, if tomorrow I still want pizza then I will go to Mamma's Pizza and get a thin slice and just be done with it.

And I did. Honestly, it has given me a teensy bit of a head rush. :dizzy: But, I guess in the cosmic scheme of things it's not that bad. I mean, I just had to have it. And now that I have, it's over with. (I hope. :o )

So I am not going to beat myself up about it. (Of course I am, that's such a lie.) But I have been doing so good (9 pounds since the start) and I am almost done with Phase 1 and I just want to know from someone that I didn't kill the whole thing.

It's stupid, how we let these things control not only our behaviour but our very thoughts.

Jennifer.

I wouldnt let it get you down dynagrrl! One slice is really not bad at all considering what I gave in and ate Sunday night! Seriously, I think its not the end of the world to splurge every now and then. As long as you dont make it a routine, I really think it shouldnt affect your weight loss. Good luck!!!! :grouphug: (And I can totally relate to how it controls our thoughts.)

Just get on with it. This is a very forgiving plan.

Hi

Hi There

Yep, just move on and get back to it.

That has been one of my biggest challenges, slipping up, beating myself up and then saying, Oh, what's the use, I can't do this. I refuse to do this anymore. It is so unproductive.

I had a piece of birthday cake on my mom's birthday, a bread stick from Olive Garden and some potatoes the same night. I enjoyed them and went right back to this way of eating. So far I've lost 9 pounds, Yahoo!!! You're doing awesome, we're human :)

Jennifer I had a whole week-end and then monday as well I just got back on track tuesday morning and I didn't gain a thing. So I think that a little slip up every now and then is not going to make you gain everything back. Keep up the good work.
