Default Chattin' On Friday!

Hi, Chickies!

Thought I'd start everyone off on this frigid day!! Mainly because I couldn't sleep. I have been awake since around 2, so I just decided to get up to say , "hi!" before leaving on acation. Can you tell that I already miss you guys? I have a nasty cold with coughing, so that kept me up most of the night. I just know that when I hit the beach in Florida on Sunday with that sun on my face that I will be just fine!

Try to be good to each other while I'm away, and don't toss sand on other's towels. Keep mine nice and dry for me until I return March 1.....OK????

Hugs to you all...... Must go wake DH up now so he can get ready. We're leaving around 6 o'clock.
Have a good Friday!
Sharon

Hi Sharon, have a great time in the sun! How nice to go away for a whole month, and in Febuary which is always hard hard work I reckon. Is South Beach itself in Florida? You would drop pounds and pounds just by treading the sand there I should think.

I am having a day of working at my desk (for which read 'surfing the internet and swapping emails with my mates'). Tomorrow I have lunch out and then dinner out, so a bit of a day of it, but I have let the dinner person know that I am low carbing, and he used to be on Atkins so hopefully will hold back on the pasta with caramelised bread sauce dressing. Lunch is in a trendy up town place (restaurant at Harvey Nichols - very Ab Fab) so all those stick thin fashionista types eat there, and they all do low carbing, so I should be able to stick to good menus. I have never been to this trendy up town place (I prefer homey country pub type places where people stop off on their country walks and trek mud and dogs all through), but the person I am meeting for lunch is a bit of an urbanite and suggested it, so off I go. And I can browse through the Scented Candle department of Harvey Nicks afterwards, so that will make up for the fingernail-achingly crisp judgmentalness of the lunch venue. I hope.

I might see if I can get out in the garden later today. There is nothing much doing at this time of year, but I could maybe tidy the pots up or something. I feel the need to be out of the house, wrapped up against the biting cold of our minus one degree (C) temperatures.

It's 11am and I have not had breakfast yet. There are some left over lentils in the fridge. I might have those.

Happy friday

Sharon, we'll miss you, girl!! Have a wonderful time, and get better soon!

Clovey, must you make food sound so decadent?
You're going out in the garden, hmmmm? How nice. I'm very happy for you. Thrilled. (you lucky duck, you)
Let's see... it's -26C in my garden right now. Covered in a thick layer of snow. Waaaaaah!! If my parents hadn't moved here, I'd be THERE right now, Clovey!

Well, I've gained two more pounds. But I'm pleasantly aching from my workout at the Y yesterday. Wonder if I can fit in a walk or something later today. It's a PD day for my little DS, so I'm not alone.
Cranky. Very cranky.

Hugs to all... Have a lovely day.

Morning. So is this a thread that you guys do daily? Can anyone jump in? Well I am new, I introduced myself yesterday. I started SBD this morning. I am excited and nervous. I hope I do well on this.

I am glad it is the weekend. I have a girlfriend and her daughter coming to visit me this weekend, we are best friends and our daughters are best friends! It does not get any better than that!

I went grocery shopping last night and tried to get some food that should last me through the week. I still have some questions about coffee creamer, but I was told I can look it up on the revised list. And I bought laughing Cow cheese which seems to be good?! I hope so!

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend, okay, well I will start with have a great day! I will be checking in and posting today!!!

Sflake, what colours are you going to use?!
Thanks for the hug, hon.
It's scary... every time someone mentions getting rid of stuff, I think, "I WANT it!!" I'd better do the 27-fling-boogie today.

Little Chick, what exactly does a "real person" look like? Make-up... I can't remember how that works. Have a wonderful time tonight on your date!!

Default T.g.i.f!!!

Good Morning Little Chic-a-dees!
Well...I am feeling MUCH better today! I went home from work early yesterday & flopped on the couch & slept for 2 hours! The kids were with their dad last night, so I had a lovely, quiet evening...however I did eat 3 SF fudgsicles! It was the only thing that made my tummy feel better! I really really wanted some plain white rice..but the fudgesicles were a nice compromise!
Friday is my personal weigh in day...but I do it at the end of the day at Mom's when I pick up the children...so I figure maybe I'm actually a pound or 2 less in the AM! I can tell by the way my clothing is fitting that I have lost a bit more weight. I am actually going to Target at lunch to buy myself a bathroom scale...and possible one of those "ab cruncher" machines...has anyone tried those things? They look great on TV...of course the beautiful people using them on TV don't actually NEED to use them! I have a really hard time with sit-ups & crunches as I don't do them correctly and end up hurting my neck (which always hurts anyway from TMJ!)

Have a wonderful Friday & a lovely weekend (GO PATRIOTS!!!)..sorry girls, I'm from Boston!

Ciao!
Jan

Ellis I am looking at a bunch of colors.. we have a seafoamy, kinda sagey green carpet. sooooo I'm thinking maybe something redish or maybe a soft peachy... right now the walls are a drab beige, so anything will be an improvement. The new furniture I'm getting is off white almost cream/taupe color.

Jan I'm with ya go PATS!!!!

Sums join us...whomever is first up starts the daily chit chat...the more the merrier

I am with Jan and SFlake--GO PATS!! We are having a pre-Super Bowl party at work today. Everyone is dressed in Patiorts clothes. They are having Pizza, salad, and desserts....I am having salad with chicken (from home) and oil/vinegar...Jello for dessert!

I cannot help but weigh myself everyday and today I was a little disappointed, no more weight off. Still stuck at 4 pounds. This is day 11, hope my body realizes that it only has 3 more days to get with the program and drop at least another 4 pounds or I will be on Phase I for ever !!!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!
