Muffin, I ordered the Den-Tek Guard from Amazon. We have pretty quick delivery here on a lot of things from them and the price was good, too.

Good morning ladies. I had a good week. Numbers on the scale are going down. Did a bunch of meal prep yesterday. I have my lunches ans snacks prepped and packaged to go for the week. I am now planning dinners as i type, i have been thinking on how to handle phase 2, i keep sticking with phase one for extended periods of time and falling off, i think i am going to just do phase one for two weeks, i am going to keep trying until i figure out what works. So 7 more days to go. How do you ladies tackle phase 2?
Heres what i preped
for lunches : 2 bbq chicken ranch salads in a jar (leftover grilled chicken breast with sf bbq sauce, diced onion, romaine and spring mix, black beans, rf ranch dressing)
1 grilled assorted salad ( 1 ounce ham, 3 oz chicken, 1 hardboiled egg, 1/2 tbsp rf blue cheese crumbles, spring mix, rf ranch)
1 leftover sbd friendly chili with rf cheddar and a small side salad w/ rf italian
2 servings low carb eggroll in a bowl (turkey tenderloin, shredded cabbage, also added onion and mushrooms)
1 serving cut up turkey tenderloin , homemade lf cauliflower alfredo, steamed broccoli

i have extra eggroll in a bowl which i will portion out and freeze for future work lunches.

Snacks i have cut up assorted veggies and snap peas, laughing cow lite cheese, greek yogurt in small containers with splenda and almond extract, hardboiled eggs, portioned dry roasted peanuts,

mjms-glad the inflammation is down and that you are feeling better. Have you been using your bike? I am thinking of in the winter canceling my gym memebership and using my covid home set up except for the summer, i have a bike that sits there in my upstairs room plus a whole bunch of other stuff. I have until december and i will see, joined the gym because the upstairs room is too hot to workout in in the summer and i lovetheir pool.

Muffin-how is your foot doing? Please post pics of your crochet . Would love to see it. I am working on a harry potter scarf and hat set for my nieice right now. I have several things to finish plus a friend asked me to make her an infant giraff hat for her grandson. Need to get going on those. I used to do craft shows but since covid have put those on hold

thank you ladies for keeping this thread active, please post and let me know how you both are doing

Just want to share the cauliflower alfredo. This is awesome. I will be eating this regularly!!

1 16 oz bag of frozen cauliflower
2 c. Chicken broth
2 tbsp garlic (i love it)
1/3 small chopped onion
4 laughing cow lite cheese wedges
2-3 tbsp parmesean cheese

cook the cauliflower in a pan with 2c. Chicken broth, garlic and onion until soft. Add in cheeses then put everything in a blender. The blender thickens the cauliflower into a nice sauce while the laughing cow cheese adds a nice creaminess. I have had this with cooked chicken or turkey. Would like to try this with shrimp and steamed broccoli too. 0

October 10th already? Yikes! Hope you are all having a good day! Weight is hovering around the same number. I did get moving yesterday, though, and my eating was pretty good. Maybe I will be rewarded?

Wow. Lisaward! You sure did do some fabulous planning and prepping ahead! I think I should come to live with you. That alfredo sauce looks so good, too. Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I will need to get some cauliflower very soon and try it out. I think I will like it, too. Confession time: I haven't been using the bike very often. My hubby can't use it right now as it bothers a medical condition that he has, so I have been slacking on it, too. Not really an excuse, though! I think I just lost that guilt/motivation of seeing him use it.

Muffin, I saw how many steps you had! Even with your painful foot! I hope that means that it is getting better. I sure hope so! I am rooting for you!

I received and email this morning from a lighting company, Brightech, that I have purchased from in the past. The email said that today is World Mental Health Day. But what I really want to share is the questions that were in the email. They really hit home for me today:
Not just today - but everyday we invite you to check in on yourself:
How are you feeling?
What does your body need?
What made you happy today?
What are you grateful for today?

Make today a good one and take good care of yourself!

Yesterday was a long/hot day. We arrived early and had lunch at a pizza place that dh loves. Then we headed to the park, they had lots of tents and good music. The place was super crowded, I was surprised that very few people were wearing masks. The parade didn't start until almost 5pm, it was super hot and I was so ready to go home but we stayed until the end. DS1 had a lot of fun and I'm glad we were able to support him. I went to sleep at 8pm, I was super tired and in a lot of pain.

I went to church this morning and as soon as I got home, I took some ibuprofen and I haven't done much after that. For lunch, Dh grilled burgers for the boys and chicken for me.

MJMS- The pain/inflammation comes and goes. I'm usually fine throughout the day but as soon as I stop moving the pain gets really bad. Thanks for posting those questions. I might work on those this week in my journal.
Lisa- those meals look very good. I need to try that alfredo sauce and see if my boys would like it. They are so picky and with veggies. I'm always finding ways to feed them more. I haven't done a full PH2 in a long time. I usually start adding ph2 foods slowly to see how I react to them. If I add too many carbs my sweet cravings get out of control. The first time I did SBD and I moved to PH2 I remember I alternated both phases (one day ph1 next day ph2) I lost 40lb in 3 months but that was 12 years ago and I was also exercising 1.5hrs hrs daily M-F(45mins cardio and the rest strength training)

Smile Newbie for the first time in years

Good morning. I'm Heather and I jumped back on the plan yesterday after several years. This seems to have been the only food plan that worked for me over time but then life got in my way. Same old story we all hear often. Anyway I am happy to be here and hoping to meet some new friends. I live in Nebraska with my fiancé and our zoo of a home. We are planning a wedding for May 2022 and I would like to fit into a smaller wedding dress. I'll check in later and chat more just wanted to post a quick intro. Have a great day!

Amma Heather! I'm glad that you joined us and I am looking forward to getting to know you!

Drat! I got into some salty snacks last night. I thought for sure that my weight would be up, but it wasn't bad. I still have not made it below 170 yet. I have to keep trying!

Muffin, were you able to get into the doctor? It's great that you can still get in your steps but awful that it hurts so much afterward! Have you tried the mouth guard yet? It is a little weird to get used to at first but then it's okay, especially if it helps.

Lisaward, I bet you are having a good week with all that food prep that you did. Prepping and planning are so important for a healthy lifestyle, I think.

It sure is dreary looking out today and it is supposed to rain later. It's making it hard for me to get motivated. We haven't had a lot of rain lately but it sure has been cloudy and kind of humid. Hopefully it clears up after today.

Have a great Tuesday everybody!

Good morning! busy day yesterday and totally forgot to post.
Last night dh and I decided that it was probably better for me not to go for walks this week and to rest the leg as much as possible. This upcoming Saturday we have a college visit from 9-4 pm and we will be walking a lot. I weight in yesterday and the scale was up I need to make sure I stay on plan every single day and track everything I'm eating. Not much plan for today, just stay home and rest my leg. I do have some bills to pay and laundry.

Amm Heather- it is so nice to have you here! Are you following the original plan?

Good morning, leg is feeling better. I didn't do much yesterday and I think today is a repeat of yesterday. Food-wise I'm sticking to my meal plan but cravings are really high. I ended up eating a few chocolates yesterday I need to keep myself busy without overdoing it so I can rest my leg and stop my cravings. Oh well, we'll see how it goes today.

Lately, I have been craving meatloaf and I found this recipe on the Palm SBD website, have any of you try it before? do you have any good meatloaf recipes do you recommend?

I hope everyone is having a great day today!

Hello on Wednesday! Weight is up a tiny bit but still around the same number. I guess I would say I am maintaining right now. I did get a nice long walk in yesterday. It is cooling off here, so the walking is more pleasant. We are supposed to be around 80 on Friday, but I think the days of 80's are pretty much done until next year, but we'll see. It's still very cloudy here, too. Kind of makes me have to fight feeling dreary, too. I got into the darn salty snacks again last night. The bag is done now and I don't think I should add that to the shopping list anymore! Too hard to fight the cravings for them.

Muffin, I am glad your leg is feeling a little better. I hear you about the cravings! Ugh. They say a good, clean Phase 1 will knock them out, but I am not ready to commit to that. I looked at the meatloaf recipe but I have never tried it. It's definitely a keto one and I am still doing the original South Beach Supercharged. You asked about a sugar-free bbq sauce. I know that Sweet Baby Ray's makes a good one, but it is kind of hard to find. I don't know if it would qualify as keto, though.

Hi Lisaward! Your menus look great! Hi Amma Heather! Hope your doing well on plan!

Have a great Wednesday everyone and get over this hump day!

Good morning everyone. Yes I am following the original SBD. I am really struggling today due to my emotions. I put in notice at my job 3 weeks ago and tomorrow is my last day. I keep watching my department fall apart due to poor management and I had to walk away. A few of my coworkers are following me out the door. I need to cut myself free and know it. However, I do not have another job lined up yet even though I have been interviewing. Things will be fine financially but I feel bad about Christmas being short most likely. There is a box of Ritz crackers on top of the fridge calling me from downstairs LOL. I am doing okay though down 1.5 pounds so far this week. I actually gained the first day and lost that again in addition to the 1.5 so I feel I am doing okay. No cheats so far because this really feels like the only thing I am in control of lately. I so look forward to getting to know you all and will make a better effort to check in. If you have any questions about me feel free to ask! Have a great day!

TGIF! It's a beautiful sunny day here today! The leaves are just starting to change. They are saying that they are late this year. I hope they are pretty. I love the colors! Diet-wise, I am staying about the same. I just am not as strict as I need to be to lose, although I am getting some exercise in every day. Yesterday was a long walk through an historic area in some beautiful weather. It was good to be outside.

Lisaward, so good to see you! Thank you for your uplifting words. They mean a lot! I hope you are going to report a great weigh in soon. With all your excellent prep, you sure were prepped for success!

Amma Heather, you are doing great with your weight loss! I so hear you about emotional eating. It sounds like you have thought the job stuff through and you are making a good decision. I always think that job hunting is just about the hardest job there is, so with that anxiety and feeling bad about leaving the job you have, it's no wonder your emotions are running high. I don't know about your living situation, but if you can, I might just toss that box of crackers in the trash. I need to do that more often myself along with not bringing it home in the first place, if you read my post above, lol!

Muffin, is the rest helping the pain some? Did you ever get in to the doctor to have it looked at? So frustrating since you were doing so well with your exercise! I know those boys are keeping you busy, too.

I hope everyone has a great Friday! Enjoy these nice fall days!
