Good Sunday Morning!
I guess the corn didn't do too much damage. I am down a tenth of a pound. Slow going, but maybe it will stay gone this time! The rest of my day was on plan but it was one of those hungry kind of days. Those happen for me sometimes. I just have to make sure that I try to eat some veggies first and then have something else if I am still hungry. That means having some prepared, which is where I can get into trouble. It's supposed to get into the 90's here today, so I will be hanging out mostly inside where it is cool. I am a heat wimp!

Syckgirlsfv, Japanese Sweet Potatoes sound interesting. You'll have to report back on them after you have tried them. I like my produce delivery, too. It helps to rescue food that might go to waste and it keeps me eating my fruits and veggies so I don't waste. Your upcoming camping trip sounds like it will be fun and something to look forward to. Those egg cups sound delish!

Muffin, I am so sorry it was crowded at Costco! Those big carts they have can make it a crazy place. Ours hasn't gone back to giving samples yet, although I hear that they are all going to at some point. That always made it even crazier with people gathering around the samples and eating. Truthfully I like samples, but I don't miss the temptation and the crowding!

Hi to everyone reading! Join in and tell us about your day. Have a great Sunday!

Morning! just have a few minutes before church!

Hubby barbecued last night (he always barbecues on either Saturday or Sunday) and so dinner for me was an Omaha pork bacon burger patty w/slice of light swiss and tomato, mustard, pickles. Also made a side salad with romaine, feta, tortilla strip topping, Asian sesame light dressing

Weight this morning - 165.0. Having coffee for now and will have a few of the egg and Canadian bacon muffins for breakfast. Didn’t exercise yesterday after all, so it’s weights at the gym today. Back later!

Okay so I had two of the egg muffins for breakfast. I did have a carb splurge on a small hamburger bun w/my turkey burger for lunch, so let’s hope it doesn’t do anything negative to the scale! I am going to the gym to lift weights soon and that will be the only bread carb of the day.

Tonight I’ll have some of the chicken barbecued last night - marinated in lime garlic marinade it’s so good! I’ll get some lettuce so I can make a salad with it. Or maybe steam some broccoli.

I have to tell you about this snack I bought at Costco when we went. Cauliflower bites! O.M. Goodness I LOVE them! They are super crunchy and I can’t believe how good they are!!! I must get more!

Good evening, hope you all have a great weekend!

We went to mass yesterday so we had a late start this morning. Hubby ended up grilling today and we made extra chicken for the week Today was a very lazy day, I swept and dusted the house in the morning and crocheted for a few hours in the afternoon.

For lunch, I had a burger patty with onions and mushrooms on a lettuce wrap. I also couldn't resist and ate some chips which is weird because I'm not a potato chip lover. I did have some sweet cravings in the afternoon but I just had a cup of coffee. We had lunch at around 2 pm and I'm still super full, I guess I will be skipping dinner because I won't be able to sleep if I eat after 7pm.

Syckgirlsfv- I have to luck with those cauliflower bites next time I'll go to Costco
MJMS- Yay, for the scale to keep moving in the right direction! Our Costco was given some sampler but they were wrapped on small bags, my boys got a few samplers, they also got a sampler for our dog I'm not a heat person either. Here in FL we are supposed to reach the 100s by the end of the week. I will be doing my as early as possible before it gets too hot.

Hi again! Gorgeous Sunday here in sunny So Cal! Muffin, off the subject, can we trade our governor for yours? I just love yours! Okay, you don’t have to answer that .

I am right this second making the recipe for cream cheese peanut butter muffins from this site. I will tell you how they come out, but they have cream cheese, almond butter (didn’t have peanut), vanilla, stevia, and an egg. Mixed and put into muffin cups and are in the oven!

I did my weight lifting today and haven’t had anything else to eat yet...still planning on the chicken for dinner. I do have two little airplane bottles of booze for tonight. I can’t go over that or the calories will be horrendous as well as the water I’ll gain. 2 should be ok. Step workout during lunch tomorrow! I am curious as to what the scale will say in the morning!

Good morning! (barely!)
Just got back from a trip to Costco. It was not too busy, but was getting busier as I left. I looked for the cauliflower bites, but didn't see them. Either mine doesn't carry them or maybe they were sold out. Yesterday was a good eating day for me and the scale liked it, too. I hope today is good. At Costco, I picked up some Red's Egg Sandwiches. They are two egg patties, a turkey sausage and a slice of cheese. I just tried one and it was pretty good. Easy to microwave but I think the cheese was full fat, so not an everyday thing. But nice for a quickie breakfast.

Muffin, extra chicken for the week is smart to have on hand. Weird about the chips since you are not a chip person. Chips are a BIG problem for me! But I bet that it didn't affect the scale. It might for me because I tend to eat a lot of them when I get going. Sigh. We have a much cooler, rainy day today but we are supposed to heat back up starting tomorrow. I think it will be humid, too. You are right that it's best to get out early before the heat starts.

Syckgirlsfy, you need to report back on the muffins. They sound like they might be very good. I hope you enjoyed your little bottles. A nice little treat and hopefully small enough to keep from angering the scale gods! Enjoy your step workout today!

Hi to everybody else that visits! Please jump in and join us. Have a marvelous Monday!

afternoon! doing okay - weight at 165.0 still this morning but I haven't been super strict as far as I did have a hamburger bun yesterday and ended up having 3 and 1/2 shots of liquor instead of just 2. getting ready for that step workout! will probably see a water gain I'm getting my **** together this week so that I have a small amount of wiggle room for the long weekend. I won't be doing a bunch of eating or drinking, though. fingers crossed!

today so far I have had my coffee and 2 of the egg/canadian bacon 'muffins' for breakfast.
snacked on one of the cream cheese almond butter muffins just now in order to do my step workout, then will eat lunch. I do like them! They are not super flavorful but have a nice little cream cheese after bite. Does the trick for me anyway!

Lunch will be a hamburger patty (omaha steaks) and a veggie - really need to cook the rest of my green beans so I guess I will do that. Back later!

Finally, I am back to where I was a couple of weeks ago at my lowest in a long time. Now to keep focused and get to a new low. It goes on so quick and comes off soooo slowly. I need to keep on keeping on. My scale starts over for the week on Sunday's, so hopefully by Saturday, I can see a new low number. That would be so good! It would, hopefully, keep me motivated over the long weekend.

Syckgirlsfy, I bet that water weight is gone this morning. You have been so good with your exercise that you deserve to be rewarded! I'm glad the muffins turned out well. I wonder if they would have been more flavorful with the peanut butter? The almond butter to me has a much milder flavor than peanut butter. Maybe a little more extract or a flavored sugar free syrup or a flavored stevia might bump up the flavor profile?

Muffin, how are things going? You will be proud of me for passing up the snack aisle at Costco yesterday. It was tough, let me tell you! I think there is some kind of magic formula they use there to get you to throw things in your cart. I think it is the combination of fewer choices so you can't miss the front of the bags and packages and the pricing. You always feel like you are not only missing a great snack but a great bargain, lol! I have to constantly be vigilant there. And I meant to buy the artichoke hearts in the jars that they have and I missed them. They are a better money splurge for me than the snack foods. Oh, well. Next time!

Have a healthy Tuesday, everybody! Sending us all

Good morning!

I had a lot of cravings yesterday and ate way too much (within the plan but too much) I think it was because I didn't sleep well. I slept better last night and wake up with more energy, lets hope it stays this way through the day.

This morning I had my green juice (celery, cucumbers, spinach, ginger, parsley, and a little bit of cinnamon) I can't wait to start phase 2 so I can add half an apple and lemon juice to it. Then, I did a 45 min low-impact weight training exercise. For breakfast, I had a scrambled egg with beans, green onions, and red peppers. Today is a cleaning day so I will keep myself busy and hopefully drink lots of water. Lately, I been struggling in the water department, I used to drink 80 to 100oz and now it's a miracle if I make it to 80oz.

My goals for today:
  • start a new exercise routine
  • drink 80oz of water
  • 10K steps
  • no coffee
  • read 10 pages
For lunch, I'll be having grilled chicken with stirfry veggies (broccoli, onions & red peppers) and for dinner, I'm planning on salad with either grilled chicken or fish.
MJMS - very proud of you! I'm sorry you forgot the artichoke hearts, hope you remember next time. Thanks for I'm going to need it today, the boys have some really good chocolates that keep calling my name

morning ladies!

MJMS well, the scale is actually up a tad I figured it would be. 165.6. It's the booze...I didn't see the results of it yesterday because usually the morning after drinking the scale shows a bit lighter due to flushing out all that water and dehydrating the body. BUT, .6 is a huge victory over the usual 3 or 4 pounds! I did a 42 minute step workout yesterday so that helped with the water, too. Today will be good and hopefully tomorrow will show a downward trend!

Muffin no coffee? I couldn't do it! Good luck!

okay menu (I'm in the office, so this is what I brought to eat):
B - banana cream triple zero yogurt (Oikos) w/mixed nuts
L - green beans, grilled chicken
S - peanut butter cream cheese muffin
I also have protein puffs for snack if I need them...
D - tbd but maybe a turkey burger patty and some broccoli, or a chicken salad

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Wednesday!
The dang scale went back up the .2! Miniscule I know, but I really wanted to see it head down .2 for a new number. I thought about that last night when I had the reduced sodium ham for supper. I think it wasn't that reduced, lol! It did taste salty still but I have been trying to do the low sodium thing for awhile so lots of things that didn't used to taste salty, taste salty now. Oh, well. Nothing to do but drink the water today and I MUST keep on going! At least the ham was very lean.

Muffin, I am with Syckgirlsfy. I could NOT give up my coffee. You are a better woman than me! Your list is pretty impressive! What low impact weight training exercise did you do? How are you feeling after it? Do you think this might be doable to replace your former routine that had become painful? I hope so. I was looking around the web at a few yesterday. Several people mentioned Pahla B. and her routines for women over 50 and they do look like something that is doable for me. I walked for an hour yesterday but today is supposed to be hot, so it would be a good day to be indoors and try one.

Syckgirlsfy, today is your day to see a drop on the scale after your exercise and water yesterday! I agree that .6 is great when you usually add 3-4 pounds. I'm crossing my fingers that the scale is cooperative!

Only a few more days left in May! The time is flying. Let's all have strong finish and head into June just a little lighter!

good morning ladies!!! MJMS I totally hear you on the small gain! To me it always feels HUGE! It will go away

scale did not move, but that's a good thing! It usually takes a few days for water to go away and it's still only .6 so with a step workout it should be gone by tomorrow.
last night I ended up having a chopped salad from Subway (I love them): lettuce, spinach, grilled chicken, tomatoes, onions, pickles, subway vinaigrette, and a splash of their sriracha dressing on the top. I did have a little bag of croutons, too. They stopped selling cilantro (one of my favs for salad!) and feta (what!) so I put my own feta on it when I got home with it. So tasty! Ended the night with half of a magic brownie (CBD, it helps me go to sleep and turn off my brain).

So today I'm working from home, and I am currently having coffee. I will have a peanut butter cream cheese muffin for now, and maybe make an egg white, ham, and spinach omelet in a bit. Or sirloin. Not sure yet. We have to run an errand during lunch to hubby is going to buy me a salad from Chop Stop (yay!) and I hadn't thought about dinner yet but I just got a fresh delivery of veggies and fruit yesterday and have some beautiful broccoli I want to steam. have a great day you gals!

Good morning, happy Wednesday!

I had a great day yesterday! I met all my goals except for no coffee I ended up having a cup of coffee in the afternoon.

Today's goals:
  • 1 cup of coffee
  • Power exercise Day 2
  • 10K steps
  • 84oz of water
  • read 10 pages
The reason I want to give up coffee is that it is giving me a lot of heartburn. I had tried different brands and I do good for the 1st day and then slowly I start having more and more heartburn. In the beginning, I thought it was the milk so I drink it with just a little bit or none but it is not helping either. I had the same problem a few years ago and I quit coffee for a year and a half. It was really hard because my husband is a coffee snob and the smell daily was killing me. I don't drink much just 2 cups daily, so I guess I'm going to try slowly and see how it goes.

MJMS - the scale is evil. I weight yesterday and was up 1lb and this morning it was down again A friend recommended me the exercises, I like them because she is taking the time to explain the form and they are a bit slower. I did arms yesterday and I thought they were too easy for me but this morning my arms are super sore Today I did glutes. The exercises I'm doing right now are in Spanish but before my friend recommended them to me, I was planning on doing the Lucy Wyndham-Read exercises. This is her YT channel https://www.youtube.com/user/LWRFitnessChannel/videos
