Good morning everyone.

I am trying to use the new version of 3FC. I know its been around for a while, but I am slow when it comes to change lol.

Pearlrose I am so glad your FIL is doing better. That certainly would have been a long drive for DH. Especially under the circumstances.

Debbie glad you have a helper for the laundromat. Silly question, but do you have to roll the quarters or will the bank handle it? I can only imagine how heavy the bags of quarters would be. Another way to work out

Beth I had the pin hole technique which is pretty new. Basically they pull your gums down and I mean pull!!! Then a small hole is made above each tooth and collagen is injected to help the gum regenerate lost tissue. Thankfully there is no packing involved like a traditional gum graft which I had as a teen. I do have a few stitches but that is rare that people need them. They did the procedure from my front tooth all the way to my wisdom teeth on the right top portion of my mouth. There are 6 weeks of restrictitions, but if you are a “good” patient the results should be worth it. I have a terrible bite, had braces way too young and used to brush way too hard. I guess it was inevitable my gums would receed.

I spent the day yesterday being a sloth lol. It felt pretty darn good doing nothing. Even took a nap. Excerice will wait another day as my face is still pretty swollen. I took tomorrow off from work too. I could go in, but I just don’t want to. There has been a ton of drama lately, not worth getting aggravated LOL. Guess what, nothing on the agenda today either LOL. The scale is a smidgeon under goal. Hoping for a couple of more smidgeons before month’s end.

DS’s birthday is the 3rd and I still haven’t a clue of what to get him. I do want to order some goodies from Cheryl’s to have shipped for a birthday treat. He only received his address last week. We are trying to judge how long it takes and to make sure he receives his mail before I send anything else. I have his W2’s to send too.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning,

Woke up to the sun shining, great way to do Yoga with the sun shining in your rooms. Getting ready to make breakfast, I am going to do Phase 1 for a few days to get back on track eating and to see if I can finish the month with my weight down a bit more. Not sure what is on the agenda today but I am thinking do something outside since there is suppose to be snow this evening.

Jekel I hope the procedure heals quickly sounds painful. I agree I wouldn't go in tomorrow, take an extra day of taking care of yourself. Is DS in dorms or living off base? Is his wife going to join him there?

Debbie I am glad you have a helper at the laundromat to assist you.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey chicks! Since I posted on the wrong week earlier I thought I would stop in and say hi here as well.

Had a lovely day of sunshine and got to take a walk outside. It will be back to winter for the rest of the week so I am glad I got out. Other than that, it was groceries and puttering around the house.

Jennifer, it was smart of you to take a few days off from work and exercise. Hope you heal soon.

Pearlrose, glad you got to enjoy the sunshine with your yoga this morning!

Have a good evening!

Good morning.

Beth glad you got a walk in yesterday. We are mild, for January, but damp. Our temps are supposed to decline later today.

I must admit it’s nice playing hooky from work LOL. There are so many things I could and should be doing here but coffee in my jammies wins!!! Yesterday evening my neighbor Jim sent me a text to let me know my lights were on. Oops I guess they were on long enough to kill the battery. Luckily I park the cars nose to nose just for this reason. I am always grateful my grandpa taught me some basic car skills when I was young. Also grateful for the work car’s battery lol. Today I willl venture out to the gym but not push myself. I have a package all set to send to DS. Hopefully it will get to him before his birthday Saturday.

Have a funday Monday!

Good morning. So much for our short mild period! Lake Sheridan is frozen over again and we are expecting snow later today.

Fly-by post again this a.m. since we are due at Church Coffee before 8:30 to start serving. This Monday Coffee thing is put on by our Church but is open to everyone and has caught on well - people driving by see the sign and come in. No charge but we do have a donation jar. We get both tourists and business folk like oil delivery guys! It helps that there is no longer any place in town for a coffee and we do have homemade cookies plus muffins and huge donuts donated by a local commercial bakery.

Not sure what the week will bring but know we will have hospital visits later in the week and maybe a funeral for one of Bruce's former parishioners. I see some sandwich making in my near future ... nothing fancy, ham and cheese and egg salad seem to be the most popular. So far the Church ladies haven't realized I can bake although they know I can make bread.

Just checked the calendar and we are going out for lunch today and dinner in town Wednesday. Sheesh! Sure makes sticking to plan difficult but ...

Happy Monday, Beach Babes!

Good morning,

We are back in the cold as well, they said we would wake up to snow but nothing is happening outside. I was going to go into work but last night I tweaked my back bending over (jeesh!) so going to nurse my back, switch my yoga from the challenge to yoga for back pain. I did manage a day of eating op yesterday and going for day 2. Nothing on the agenda tonight, DH is going to a basketball game with one of his buddies.

Ruth sounds like a nice social gathering and a place to meet new people.

Jekel glad you were smart and parked nose to nose, you feeling any better, swelling down?

Beth glad you had a good day yesterday and got your car washed

Have a great day everyone!

Welcome, Casinoqueen and happy Monday to the rest of the chicks!

Just a regular work Monday; stayed after with kids as this Saturday is the local science competition. Eating is (mostly) OP; the scale is stalled but I am staying strong.

Casinoqueen, did you do a 2 week phase 1? Depending on your previous diet many people get the "south beach flu" as they withdraw from sugar but it should be gone by now. Are you drinking plenty of water and eating enough? It is also possible to eat too few calories when you diet.

Ruth, the coffee hour sounds like a nice time to socialize.

Pearlrose, I hope your back feels better soon.

Jennifer, smart girl, parking the cars nose to nose. ;-) Hope you are feeling better.

Have a good evening all.

Good morning!

Welcome casinoqueen!

Flyby this morning my vehicle is started and I have a cuppa coffee in hand to sip on the way. Hopefully my last Tuesday for a while. I have worked Monday and Tuesday for 8 1/2 years. They are the slow days. It looks like I may work Friday Saturday and Sunday now which are the busy days. That would sure be a help right now. Ordered a commercial coin counter this morning. I go into the laundromat after the restaurant today to process a large Commercial order for the ski area. I need to learn how to do it. Tomorrow and Thursday are full of take over stuff. Officially ours come Thursday morning. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning,

I am still nursing my back it's better but still acting up. Did some more yoga for back pain last night and this morning, I am sure what caused it is too aggressive a move on Sunday morning's yoga, got to remember my limits lol. Still eating op but scale went up, I am sure its due to back issues causing retention so will plug along and hope for a swoosh tomorrow.

Welcome Casinoqueen, are you eating enough diary for the headaches? Too much artificial sweeteners for tummy rumblings? Would need to know what your eating to be able to help.

Beth the science competition sounds like fun. DH and DD2 are going to Comic con on Saturday and we paid for them to get a picture with Stan Lee they are so excited lol

Debbie congratulations on getting the laundromat. Hope the turnover is a smooth transition for you.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning and suddenly it's Tuesday. I have no idea where Monday went as it seemed like yesterday was another Sunday with coffee hour at the Church Hall, two nursing home visits, lunch at my new neighbour's place, family afternoon drop-ins, trips down to the Lake to check ice for skating and then a soup and sandwich impromptu supper for 15. I felt like old Mother Hubbard except my cupboard was not bare and there were lots of bone-shaped biscuits.

I thought today would be a peaceful one since Bruce was going with our daughter to check out a new music teacher for her - she's in her sixties but still a Daddy's girl. We do have a blizzard happening so that has been cancelled. Fifty mile drives in driving snow is no fun even for Rev. Crazy who loves a challenge! The Township has advised everyone to stay off the roads because of this.

Need to read back and catch up on everyone's news.

Good morning,

Quiet in here, I woke up at 3 a.m. this morning had a hard time going back to sleep but managed a bit more sleep. Back is still tight but getting slowly better, working from home today. DD1 and her BF are coming over for dinner tonight so we can start to get to know him. I invited DS and his GF but not sure if they can make it.

Have a great day everyone!

We were up early this morning to watch the start of the super/blood/blue/whatever eclipse through the trees. B. is watching the rest of it on TV. since the preCambrian Shield hills are in the way. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring to rival that excitement but we'll try.

Tonight we are taking another couple out for a "duty" dinner using up still more of our wedding gift cards. P and J are very nice people who had B & I for drinks on the lawn almost weekly all summer - she's a good gal but P. is a bore, with no conversation except jokes, most of them offensive! Luckily he and B. can talk endlessly about cars - my man aced "Conversation With Bores" at preacher school. Jan is Italian-born and we can chat about Italy, art, music, cooking and gardening.

Do something worthwhile today? Like cleaning my desk and getting organized for taxes which I must be sure to complete before the April 30 deadline.

Another coffee next!

Good evening, chicks!

Just popping in to say I am making chicken stir fry and riced cauliflower tonight; I am close but probably not making my WL goal for January. :-( I have managed to exercise the last 3 days in a row in spite of the craziness at work this week.

Ruth, I saw the moon this morning too. Beautiful!

Pearlrose, glad you are feeling better.

Have a good evening everyone!
