Good morning Ruth and Pearl! We are at -20* this morning...that's a little chilly.

Food was so-so yesterday but I did do my workout. I'm going for small victories this week. Tonight we are meeting friends for dinner but I should be able to make a "better" choice at that restaurant. Just trying to maintain until Jan 1 when I go full P1.

I did some cleaning yesterday, mostly to get in some steps. Today will be some laundry (which involves stairs) and a trip to town to get a few things. I am NOT spending time outdoors, although the winter scene looks lovely from inside my house.

Have a good day, all!

.... and once again my post went off into cyber space! I guess I should create in Word, copy and paste.

Anyhow - really, really cold out there at -40 - the same in C. or F. degrees. At least time hasn't adopted the metric system. (Imagine all the new watches and clocks that would sell!)

Bruce just escorted me next door to feed the cats as the steps there are very slippery and there is no rail. I am hoping my neighbour comes home tonight because my cat allergies have kicked in - mainly sniffles and weepy eyes but still a nuisance. Now Brave Bruce is out for his daily 3 mile walk and is considering an afternoon skate if the Lake is frozen!

Michelle comes to clean this a.m. and I plan to get some of the Christmas napkins and towels washed and put away for the next wave of company. NY should not be allowed over weekends.

Stay cozy and warm if you are in the Deep Freeze as we are up here.

Hi everyone!

Stay warm everyone! It sounds like you were really getting hammered with the cold! We are pretty mild here right now. I just looked, it's 48°. Sorry if that's too much information.

We had our Christmas yesterday and my sister headed out this morning driving to Oregon for the holiday and new year. I got called into work so I went and made a bunch of money. Home sitting out on the porch. Know what our plans are for tonight or if I will have to work tomorrow, as well. Take care everyone!

Hey let’ go visit Debbie lol for once she is warmer than most of us!!!! Bitterly cold here too. Me and my old poorly insulated house do not like these temp. Even DS is missing the Fl sun right about now. It has been really nice having him home. But like everyone else eating has not been great with him home. Although yesterday and today I have been pretty good (so much better than last week). Tomorrow we are supposed to go to West Point, but I think we will just drive around while we are there.

Debbie glad you had a lucrative day at work.
Ruth happy things have slowed down slightly.
Beth I cannot even begin to imaging how you are surviving these temps!!!!
Pearlrose that’s great DD should be getting her car back. Is PT helping her?

DS and I actually watche a Netflix movie which was pretty good. I saw a poster for it (Bright) when I was on the train. We may go see the new Star Wars movie if West Point doesn’t pan out. Joe is supposed to come down tomorrow to see DS before he goes back. DS and I will have a very uneventful NYE as he leaves early on the 1st.

Hope everyone stays warm!

The chicks must be wearing their mittens today and cant type LOL. Quick check in then going shopping with DS. I got brave and stepped on the scale this morning. Holding at goal weight but feeling the effects of being off plan. Monday will be P1 for me too!

Good afternoon chicks.

I have been off the computer and being productive today: groceries, paperwork, the post office, laundry....often on my days off I spend too much time surfing the interwebs.

Jennifer, hope you are enjoying your time with DS.

Pearlrose, have a great trip!

Debbie, you may have warmer temperatures than the East Coast but I seem to remember you had snow very early this fall; I guess it evens out a bit.

Ruth, hope you can get your computer issues fixed.

Have a good evening, chicks.

Good morning, chicks.

Can't believe it is Saturday already; where did the week go?

DH, DS and I have tickets to a hockey game tonight. Before that I will try to exercise and do a little schoolwork.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Good morning.

We are going to be in this bitter cold for another week so I am going to put on my Big Girl Panties and just get on with it! Bruce dresses in layers and is having no trouble - wool tights, lined jeans and wind pants work for him. (I may dig out my long Janes from my skiing days.) At least the snow is pretty and sparkly , not grey and drab.

Up a half pound on the scale but not worth changing my ticker. I am pretty sure I will enter 2018 at less than last New Year's Day, which was less than the start of 2016. If I live long enough, I may get below 150 before I pop off!

Hope everyone is staying cozy in this polar vortex. Beth, has the River frozen enough to walk across and met me in Cornwall?

Hang in there, Beachies. A week from now we should all have dropped at least a pound from the holiday Feast Fest!

Good morning,

We made it to Atlanta last night with a stop in Nashville for the Music bowl along the way. It is much nicer here in Atlanta high of 40 only 15 for high at home. They canceled a lot of the outdoor events at home due to temperatures being in the negative temps. Today we are going to my see my Great Nephew play basketball at 4 p.m. Still managing to eat mostly op but will definitely need phase 1 next week still.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning

High winds yesterday damaged a cell tower. I had a net free day. It was warm so I went for a walk also took a nap. Unfortunately we went out last night and DH slipped and fell on the way home. Steep slope and coarse sand from last snow. He is pretty dore today so we aren't doing much. Off tomorrow too.

Beth, you are right. I think I always get the first and last snow.

Take care everyone!

Debbie I hope Kirk is OK. A colleague of mine fell off a ladder yesterday and broke his foot. He was very lucky as it could have been much worse.

Pearlrose glad you were able to escape the cold. Enjoy your nephew’s game.

Ruth hope you find your thermals you will definitely need them.

We got a small dumping of snow again today. I am so thankful I bought a snow blower after my divorce. Three driveways done! Jim and Nancy are working and our neighbor Georgia is away. No one wants to come home and deal with the mess after a long day. So Suzy the Snowblower made her rounds lol. All the Christmas decorations have been packed away and store in the basement until next year.

The rest of the day is for relaxing. We will be well below zero this coming week. I need to find my motivation to go back to the gym. Not stressing as the new year will be here before I am ready and DS will be gone too.

Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the year!
