  • Good morning!

I was trying to fit a post in before I came downstairs to use the facilities. Just lost it. Oh well. Now I need to get moving.

Kirk is down making coffee. It's the coldest day we've had here yet. 11 right now. We had a nice visit with Kirk's family and came back over yesterday. The seas were pretty choppy but it was beautiful and I didn't get sick LOL Kirk didn't feel like doing much when we got back so I went over to our shed and went through a lot of my stuff. Mostly thrift or trash. A few things that I bring to the house but won't do that until we are finished painting. Today I start back at it. We do have a friend stopping by around noon we will call that lunch. Also waiting for my pottery friend to call and say she has unloaded her vehicle. I'm going to go do some private shopping. That's about it here. Guess I'll head downstairs and face the day. We have four full days left for projects. We travel on Wednesday.
  • Good morning, chicks.

DH and I were just heading out for a walk earlier when it started raining. So we switched up our plans and went to the grocery store and bank instead. Looks like I will have to work out inside.

Now I'm trying to figure out the highest priority tasks for the rest of the day; I suspect laundry and carrying boxes out of the attic are the winners as well as planning some meals. I see a week of late afternoons coming up since Friday is our Robotics tournament. No matter how I try to keep them on task there is always a last minute scramble of changes!

Other than that it is drinking extra water and getting my eating back on track. With any luck by Monday morning I will drop the holiday water weight and see where I am. It would be nice to lose a pound in December.

Pearlrose, I might not do the tree until next weekend; the way the calendar falls I feel like we have an extra one this year.

Debbie, it sounds like you are having a productive time in Alaska. Enjoy your luncheon.

Ruth, not sure whether to wish the rain turns to snow for your pageant or not. Good luck with your chores.

Schmoodle, I hope the washer/dryer issue gets resolved soon. Have a good trip.

To all the other chicks, have a great Saturday.
  • I was going to start a new weekly thread, but this is easier LOL. There is always tomorrow.

Pearlrose you are braver than I. The only shopping I did was for groceries yesterday.
Beth if I lose anything this month I will be amazed. Scale was up reminding me tomorrow I must go back to being good.
Ruth my calendar for December is slowly starting to resemble yours YIKES!!!
Schmoodle glad you are enjoying your time with DD. Great job sticking to your plan. Try alternating a glass of water before and after each cocktail it helps.

I stopped by John’s yesterday to pick up a little of his MIL butternut squash (total food porn). LOL left with a lot more goodies than I wanted to. Megan wanted me to stay for pizza too!!! I was able to politely decline. Tomorrow its back to basics. I have a huge pot of chili simmering away in the crockpot. Soup and hard boiled eggs for lunch. Next to cut up the veggies for snacks. I did manage to get a good work out in at the gym. Joe and his DS are spending the night. His DS has an early flight from my local airport. Keep your fingers crossed I get to stay home in the morning LOL as it is super early!

I am pretty good with my Christmas shopping this year. Trying to find gifts that give back to charities. I just have a few people left on my list. The goal is to be done by December 1st with only 2 trips to the post office. My family is sending DS’s gifts to me in hopes he comes home for Christmas. If not I’ll be paying for priority shipping to get his gifts to him on time. He “should” be going to his duty station Wednesday. Originally he was going to Alabama. His orders changed Wednesday. Looks like he is assigned to a special forces unit based at Ft. Eglin. Until he has his paperwork in hand anything goes lol.

Better start cutting up the veggies!
