Unhappy Stuck and frustrated - in ketosis??

A few years back I did the SBD successfully and transitioned to Phase 3 and kept the weight off for 2 years. In the last year, especially since the election sadly, I started not watching my carb intake. I have 10-15 lbs I need to lose now.

I am in full ketosis (I know SBD isn't low carb but this is what works for me, I find my weight stalls when I add in beans). I have been at/around 1200 calories a day as well.

I lost 5 lbs and now for the last week nothing, not 1 oz.

I'm wondering if anyone has ideas or thoughts about how to break through this standstill. I'm so frustrated but I'm sticking to PH1 and am not cheating.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi Mexigirl64 I remember you. I know when I've gone back to P1 I don't lose like I did the very first time I did P1. I think it has to do with a change in my eating habits (even when I have fallen off the beach its never been to how I originally ate) Now when I am looking to lose a few pounds I stick to P2.

If you are exercising your body may need more than 1200 calories a day. You could be in "starvation mode." Have you considered posting your menus for others to look at? Are you drinking enough water? Depending on your age hormones could be messing with your progress too.

Hopefully others here have ideas too, but you know from your own success SB works. It takes time and patience. The weight didn't return overnight and it does seem to take longer to lose weight over time, but you will!!!!

Hi Mexigirl64, welcome back.

I will echo Jennifer: unless you had gone back to all of your pre-SB habits you won't lose as fast as you originally did. Also, for me, I know my P2 and maintenance phase includes foods that are in the spirit of SB but not really SB (if that makes any sense). So when I need to lose, I go back to the food lists and try to pare out those foods as much as possible.

And again, it stinks, but be patient. If you are really eating OP you should see results. As Jennifer said, the weight didn't come back on overnight.
