End of Phase I Report
Well, I finished Phase I on Thursday and lost six pounds. I feel really good about not only the weight loss but the way I feel physically. My cravings are gone...for the most part...and I've altered the way I think about food. Strange that it could happen in only two weeks...but there ya go. :cb:
My hubby is doing SBD also, so that helps. He was a big opposer to low carbing it, as he is a runner. But, after losing weight while eating peanuts every day, he is now a believer. We did find a great whole grain bread mix for the bread machine. I have had a slice each morning for the past two days and still I've dropped another pound since moving on to Phase II. I hope you all have a great weekend. Oh...and BTW...I tried making the cucumbers and vinegar using granular splenda and it was great! Just use 2 cups of cider vinegar, 1.5 cups of granular splenda, 1 tsp. of salt and all the cucumbers and onions (if you are in phase II) that you can stuff in the bowl. They were wonderful! Another thing I did this week was make 3-Bean-Salad using green beans, wax beans, lima, kidney and butter beans and onions in a bowl with equal parts of cider vinegar, canola oil and granular splenda (I used 1.5 cups of each for my size batch.). Totally legal (except for maybe the onions) and GREAT! My plan for the next phase is to add in exercise. I've been "trying" for the past two weeks, but things have just been crazy here. Now, I have to. My oldest son, 11, and I are going to start a running program tomorrow. :strong: Since the boys will be back in school, I'll have time after work to start strength training at the Y again, too. That will be good. Well, that is my synopsis of Phase I and plan for Phase II. Have a great weekend! Robin |
Sounds like your doing GREAT! Keep up the good work!

Way To Go, Robin!!:cb: :cb:
Sounds like you are doing just great! Your mental attitude, and food plan seem right on track!! Keep up the super work. |
I will have finished Phase 1 tomorrow. YEAH!!!!!!! My reward is a peach......I've lost 6 pounds and was happy as I had been doing Atkins (although, I think I was getting to many carbs) and I had already lost the excess water. This time I started doing 1 hour at the gym and then 1 hour in the pool getting some exercise in. That's not bad for someone who is old as dirt. I'm praying that this will be my routine for the rest of my life. This site helps, I check in every morning for my encouragement. Thanks everybody.

Hi LizziePie
I'm from Tampa Bay Area........GO BUCS........... I'm so thrilled, I'm eating a peach for lunch. I've worked for two weeks for this reward. |
Keep up the Florida talk, chickies. I'm taking notes for those cold days in our winter. Keep the spare room ready!

Congratulations, Robin and Chris!

Congrats on your weight loss! That is my goal at the end of this week....to have lost at least 6 lbs when I finish my Phase I
|
Congratulations Chris!! Way to go!!!! :bravo: :cp:

Chris: I'm from the Winter Haven area. So we are fairly close. We get that way once in a while. Ruth take note, and let us know when you want the spare room.;)
Those Georgia and Carolina peaches are great.:cp: Keep up the good work. Lizzie |
Yes, Florida is wonderful in the winter months. However in the summer we hibernate in air conditioning or the pool. I can barely stand the heat and humidity. Well, I just had my breakfast; Small bowl of fiber one cereal, with 1% milk(all I had) and 2 slices of cantaloupe. It was soooooo good. Tired of eggs, anyway you fix them. Didn't do the execises though. Tomorrow I'll get back on track with that. ! hour in the pool and 1 hour at the gym.

I just finished Phase 1 as well. As of last Friday (my last weigh in) I am down 12 lbs. Very thrilled with the way things are going. I had to go to a bridal shower, a bachorlette party, a welcome back to school luncheon, dinner out and holiday weekend with guests who I did lots of cooking for and was still able to do it. Only regret is I wish I had started weeks ago. I had continually put off starting because there was always something going on but as I have proved you can be on track and continue to attend all the functions you need to.

Good for you School Sec!! It is amazing what this WOL does for you, isn't it?!? WAY TO GO! :cb:
And, Thanks everyone for all the congrats. I feel great and hope to break that 170 barrier soon. Robin |
