Good morning. Sorry I've not been doing personals but my new long sleep schedule puts me behind in the mornings. I'm finally getting out of sleep deficit - not with drugs! - and always have must-do stuff in the mornings. Sure hope I don't have to start setting an alarm!
Anyhow all is well around here and today is Michelle Day and trash day. I lugged the trash to the road but need to get busy and tidy up this crackhouse. Back later - God willin' an' the crick don't rise! |
It's a good afternoon from snowy Colorado!
We crazy Alaskans decided that if snow was coming we were going to get one more bed done before it happened. We were finishing our digging and hauling away just as the snow arrived. I hopped in the four-wheel-drive and headed to Denver for the 20 more bags of soil that were already paid for. Stopped at habitat for humanity and found a cabinet for some of Kirk's fossils. I paid for it and we can pick it up Saturday when the snow is gone. Roads were absolutely crazy coming home. Accidents and closures all over. Fortunately I took an emergency access route to turn myself around and get on the service road. I was one of the few that made it through. I'm home and staying here. I've got vegetarian green chili heating for yummy and healthy breakfast burritos. I watch the local news to check all the weather stuff and probably catch a taped episode of survivor. Ruth, glad to hear your sleep cycles are normalizing and without drugs. That's definitely something to take advantage of! OK. Time to make some food. I haven't eaten all day. Not even my smoothie. |
Wow, Debbie ! What a trip!
We are slated for the potential of snow on Sunday and Monday. I will be sure to get out early Saturday to do my grocery run; that way , in the event of a snow day I can get ready for Thanksgiving. Only DS1 is coming home; DS2 will stay with friends but his semester is done 2 weeks later so he will be home for longer. But tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful so I am vowing to get outside for a long walk! |
Good Friday morning!
Yes, we are slated to get snow and colder weather too but not until late Sunday - we hope. Timing is perfect because I have 15 people coming for dinner tonight and snow boots are a real problem in my small entry. (I need to get more boot trays!) Dinner is my Book Club folks and everyone is bringing a recipe from the current book - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. It'll either be great or terrible. Lights in the Park begins tomorrow and then every Saturday Night until Christmas. Katherine and I set up the Christmas Shop in the Town Hall and are all set. I will not be working every Saturday night this year. Whew! Now I need to convince Anna not to do tours of the Mill which is deathly cold. Enjoy the season and your American Thanksgiving. |
Good morning,
I am starting off at home today but going in for a luncheon and then will finish the day up at home again. It was absolutely beautiful yesterday, today the weather is turning with winds and rain and will be very cold by Saturday and might have some flurries. We are going to Atlanta for Thanksgiving at my sisters, it will be a family reunion minus 1 sister who could not come. Debbie glad you made it home safely yesterday. Ruth glad you don't have to work every Saturday that is good. Beth glad one of your DS is able to come home and that you will get to see the other one as well, always nice to see your children Have a great day everyone! |
A quick pop in from work while I eat my lunch.
Beth I have a lot more sitting time here. Our district is not in a station. I don't have to go out unless I choose to, of course I go to incidents lol but via car. If Mother Nature is bringing white stuff, please be careful. DS was home for dinner last night and stayed until 10:30. Dogs got me up at 1:40 for water and a walk. I am a little tired today. Scale is moving in the right direction, phew. Otherwise not much going on here. Have a great day. |
