Re-starting SBD

  • Hello, I've just joined this forum.

    I started the SB diet in April and lost 17lbs before my holiday. I didn't manage to stick to it while I was away and put some weight back on. Carb cravings have come back and I am trying to start back again on phase 2.

    Anyone else successfully restarted on phase 2 and stopped their carb cravings? I am wondering if I need to do phase 1 again.

    I would think you'd have to do phase 1 again if you are having carb cravings. There are too many foods in phase 2 that could contribute to them, and it's so hard to control what you eat and be successful at any diet under those circumstances. I know it is tough to re-start a strict program after having been off the wagon for a while, but that would be my advise.

  • Don't think of it as 'restarting.' One of the great things of SBD is that you jut go back to phase 1 and get yourself back on track.
  • Good idea to restart and rethink. Keep a food/feeling journal.

    I started phase 1 again yesterday and hope to be back on track soon. Will start exercising again too now that kids are back at school.

    I had a look at fitday, it's a good website.
