I'm trying to get started on the South Beach Diet. My doctor says I need to lose weight for my health. I'm going to need lots of support since it's been so long since I've tried to diet. I've had a lot of stress in my life the last ten years and found dieting last on my list of priorities. Wish me luck. Angeldove
Angeldove, welcome! Your in the right place. Everyone is very supportive. It took me years to decide to do something w/my weight. I started w/slimfast and lost under 20#'s last summer, which lasted 2 months. I then got the diet bug in April and did WW for the 50th time and lost 17# and stalled for awhile. Provence mag. sent a pamphlet on SBD and sounded great. I've been on it for 3 wks and lost 2 in. in my waist and 2 in my hips! You know how people talk about a new way of life, I never felt like that with any diet before but I do about this program. Once you figure out that sugar and processed flour is the enemy you don't want to put any in your mouth. I love this WOL(WAY OF LIFE) You can do it!! Just hang in there and you'll see a big difference in the way you think and eat!!
I've lost 8 pounds already on the SB diet! Luv is right, this is a way of life, and it's fantastic!! I can eat foods I love - veggies, lean meats, lean cheese, low fat cream cheese, boiled ham or roast beef rollups, nuts for snacks.... and I'm not even hungry!
