Thursday Chat - January 29

  • Sheesh! Been up since 4 and did a long post. Then hit the wrong key and lost it! Anyhow, good morning and I hope you Thursday is stellar.
  • Gosh, I hate when that happens!

Yesterday went well, and I am off to my clinic in a bit to see how the drive goes and get a bunch of stuff done before I return next week. At least I picked a day it's not snowing .

The kids had meatball subs for dinner a couple of nights ago (I had sans bread), and they're begging for leftovers (!!!). So tonight is that, and I'll make the chili tomorrow.

    Have a great day....
  • Have a coffee, Ruth, and start your day over again. I can sympathize, though. I haven't been sleeping well and finally took an Ambien last night. I hope your day gets better as it unfolds.

Today is an errand running day for me, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be a short day of work as well. Maggie's tooth extraction went smoothly yesterday although she was subdued afterwards, poor girl. I'm hoping she had a good night and has bounced back to her bubbly self today, but at least it's all over and she doesn't have to worry about it anymore.

Well, I'd better help get my grandkids out the door. They're both a bit pokey this morning.

    Have a great day!
  • Morning, ladies. Big hit wave today: 8 degrees above zero!

Ruth, sorry you are having trouble sleeping. Getting ready for springtime when it will be light at 4 am? And we all sympathize about losing posts.

Tammy, I'm glad you had a successful day yesterday; but don't forget to be smart and listen to your body. As for planned leftover-dinners: hooray!! We had that yesterday.

Cottage, tooth extractions are so hit or miss. Sometimes it's almost nothing and heals quickly, sometimes not. Hope Maggie's case falls into the first category.

Me, I'm just happy that January flew by this year. Just 2 more days and we'll be that much closer to spring.

Got to fly- have a great day, all!
  • Brrrrr Spring can't get here fast enough for me. My old home is quick brisk at 63. Beth we are a whopping 9 degrees too and I live downstate.

Welcome Mandykent hope you stop by and chat often

Tammy just be careful. You may need to add a restriction or two. Don't be afraid to safe no to something. Hope everything goes well

Debbie you are truly an amazing woman. We all admire your strength. I do hope things improve for your family, on all sides. A hugs to you my friend.

Ruth hope that rabbit gets out of your life soon. Maybe the stuffed bugger is causing you to lose sleep

Linda glad your GD's tooth extraction went well

I was so incredibly wiped out this week and didn't exercise. The scale is showing my slack. At least I was mainly OP so despite missing my rides I'll celebrate that. Finally off and my days are full of little stuff. Today since we are "supposed" to be above freezing I need to hack away at some of the ice in my driveway. The poor pups really aren't doing well with the cold either. I can only carry my little guy. He does his thing then limps over to me. I scoop him up until my old guy finishes. Lately he's been looking like he wants to be picked up too....that is not happening.

    Have a wonderful day
  • Good morning,

Ruth don't you just hate it when you lose your post. Hope the rest of the day goes smoothly

Tywnn hope it goes well for you today and is not too much

Cottage hopefully she will be good to go today

Beth when I am at work I like to walk around the building as well. It is a square shape and is 1/4 of a mile around

Jekel stay warm, we are supposed to get snow starting on Saturday evening, but I will be gone for it yea.

Today is wfh and was a successful week we decided on the candidates for our 3 open positions. Of course now another staff is moving to a different position so we will have to start searching for another candidate soon.

    Have a great day everyone
  • Safe drive pool in 10 min

Kids back in home with dad. Ex wife back to Minnesota until next court date. After events of yesterday, we are 100% certain we did the right thing . Now on to supporting Son In Law As a single parent of 2 beautiful children, a somewhat overwhelming task for him right now.

    Thanks for being here, everyone!
  • one more work day! This is my first week back to 100%. I am so not thrilled but the extra money will get banked in case of layoff. I have plenty of days off to burn so that will make it easier Sweet dreams all
  • Hi all! Yet another quickie fly by for me. I'm nearly packed and just finishing up housework so we can come home to a clean house. Just got an email that our flight tomorrow has wi-fi and we get free TV! I hate flying (the cramped quarters and not being able to get up and do what I want) so that will make it go much faster. I loaded up the app that Southwest uses and I think I'm ready to go!

Everyone have a great week and I'll check in on the road if I'm able - otherwise see you all on February 8th!
