The kids are awake (hey, they waited until 6:30), the presents are opened, and they are actually happily occupied with their new presents!!

A friend sent me Fanny May candy (she knows my grandma and I would eat Trinadads together)...sent me caramels a couple of weeks ago...

Had a wonderful evening with my friends (and dogs) last night and discovered this morning that I forgot to put out the shrimp platter! Oh well! Shrimp is SBD compliant, right. I also forgot to light the candles in the floral centrepiece but will take that with me today when I go to brunch with Jim's relatives.

The kitchen is a disaster but I am going to ignore most of it and get ready to drive to Kemptville by 11:30. It's very, very windy so I'm glad I've put on a bit of weight as ballast! I'll probably add to that with Christmas dinner at Doug and Claire's house.

Enjoy your day and remember Christmas is not over until January 6th. Today is just the first day so expect a partridge in a pear tree.

Merry Christmas. Sorry I missed a few days and will catch up later. A Christmas miracle occurred......I woke up before DS lol. Late night yesterday as I worked 16 hours then came home, baked an Italian cheesecake and finally cleaned. I don't reme the last time I was up until 2 am.

Pleasant morning here willbe going to my sister's later.

Should be a mellow day here since we celebrated already. I'm happy for a chance to finally relax. We might head to MIL's but might not, since SIL is planning to take her to a movie. Speaking of which, we watched The Interview yesterday. I'd never have seen it if not for the controversy.

Since I never got to the grocery store yesterday, I guess we'll have Chinese food today.

This is the first year someone woke up before me, my DD2 was so excited to see if Santa brought her the Barbie Dream house she wanted. He did and two hours later we finally got it all together just need stickers, my DH is in shock over the size of it lol. We will move it up to her room after DD1 wakes up (she has to work overnight tonight so we will let her sleep).

Hello Beachers Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and a lovely winter day to all. the sun is finally peeking out here so Cricket and I might get a walk in after Tim heads to work. We are waiting for the veggie lasagna now.

Jekel- mind sharing your cheesecake recipe? My aunt made the best Italian cheesecake bu my mom was never a fan so the recipe never passed down.
