Yesterday was a bake-a-thon for me. No baking today but will still be working in the kitchen. Dh has been busy gift wrapping. I designated him. We are hopefully going to dd to bring gss here a few days ahead and dd and sil will follow a few days later. Besides this I am having company for supper on Saturday. Everything will pass, right.

Last night was a blast but I have never seen that many people there before. DD2 brought 2 friends and we waited over an hour just to get their skates.

I slept in until kitty made a mess of things in my room to wake me up. I will have to go find my jewelry he knocked off my dresser in a bit.

Jekel hope you were able to make it through your shift. I have to get up at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning to validate an application upgrade and am so not looking forward to it. I did overnights for one year when DD2 was 4 so I could spend more time with her and it about killed me. I am more an early morning person.

Cottage Amazon did the same thing to me, I ordered DD2 her dream present and I put on the order that it was a gift and not to arrive at the house showing what it was and it was in the carton that you would buy at the store. If I had not gotten home before she got home from school she would have seen it on the front porch. That is her present from Santa too. I provided feedback regarding packing to them.

Ruth glad that you are starting to get everything back in order. I think that is why I keep holding back from getting our carpets replaced. The work to move all of the accumulated stuff would be just too much right now. I need to learn how to lay carpet myself and then I could tackle a room at a time.

Good morning.

I've baked 4 kinds of cookies now over two days. Some will go to our book club holiday party (with spouses) tonight and the rest are getting frozen. I'll pull out a few now and then for house guests later this week and DS and his girlfriend. (Did I mention that she's coming?!) The bulk of the cookies will be for our Christmas gathering next Sunday.

Wrapping is done; waiting for a few more gifts to arrive in the coming days. I actually don't mind wrapping, now that I have it up off the ground. But I admit that I don't take as much care as I did once upon a time. I have learned that my family doesn't pay any attention to neatness or lack thereof.

Whoo hoo up from my nap. I survived last night and managed to stay up for an hour when I got home. The doggies were good boys for my neighbor. They even went back to bed when I came home, no suprise there. Thanks for all the support. Times are challenging right now.

Karen I love a beautifully wrapped gift. However, DS is not impressed. Majority goes in saved gift bags from the previous years. Makes interesting unwrapping when I forget to remove like gift tags.

Natasha wow it is best I never learned of potatoe pizza. Total pizza porn, but sounds oh so yummy.

All this talk of Amazon I received a package today. Only ordered it on Friday and the USPS delivered it during my slumber. Just waiting on one special order item then I am done, done, done, done!

Tammy that was so sweet of DS to clean. Isn't a good feeling to know your kids love you and care :)

Hmmm what to do with the rest of the day.

:wave: Sounds like a busy weekend for everyone. me - working again. I am done Wednesday for real because we head to NY to see my parents for a few days and then I really am off for a few weeks (I hope!).

Tammy- Enjoy everyone helping and taking care of you while you can. Glad you are doing so well.

Time for sleep. Tomorrow will be another rushed morning but maybe I'll have some time Tuesday to get in and post. You all will be so sick of me by the time my vacation is over :)
