Ahhhh, my first Tuesday off! LOL...not that it really is. I woke up at 4:30 and have a pretty full day. A couple of pleasant breaks (visiting with a friend), will be interspersed with the not-so-fun stuff. Oops, and I think I have a 8 pm phone conference as well.

Good news is I had a colleague at my practice yesterday and we hit it off *really* well (we were friends already). Keeping my fingers crossed!

Anyone with excitement today? We're in for some ice, so hopefully I'll be off the road by then!

Good morning, Tammy, and here's a coffee for you. I hope things work out with your new colleague at work! Your day off sounds pretty busy, but I hope you have a good one, and take care on those icy roads!

We may get a little of that wintry mix today, but it's supposed to be mostly rain here. I sure hope so, since I have a lot of running around with the girls after school this afternoon.

Jennifer and Natasha, that's wonderful that you two were able to meet up and have lunch together, and I sure hope we get to see some pictures!

Good morning. We have to wait on Natasha for the picture as it is on her phone lol. They had a long day yesterday. They stayed in Queens the night before. Traveled with luggage to NYC (you can store luggage for a day at certain places) We met at 1. They had dinner plans for Carmine's (such a great choice) then Phantom. Retrieve their luggage and take the thrash to New Haven CT. Then drive to MA. I'm sure they will sleep in today......I kniw I woukd lol

Ready for this exciting plan Tammy......Cleaning lol only because Joe is coming for dinner tonight. I don't feel like cooking so we are having takeout. They make great salads so that's what I am getting. Otherwise I'm staying put. We too are supposed to get a Wintery mix later....more winter then mix

Happy Tuesday!!!

Good morning. Don't know where I was yesterday.

Have started online Christmas shopping. Would be a good thing but just discovered that at least one item is shipping to the wrong address! Apparently I had a typo. Odd that the order even went through since I used the same incorrect address for billing. Can't figure out how to get the darn package. Hate phone trees that don't allow you to just get to a live person; none of the options apply.

Will spend my morning double-checking all my purchases from yesterday. I am guessing I now have an auto-fill that is wrong. Sigh.

I'm working this afternoon.

Good morning

Tammy. 4.30 is way to early to get up. Hope you get to rest for a while too

Cottage. Hope the weather behaves.

Jennifer glad you had a great time with Natasha and mom. Ah, to be in nyc during the Christmas season

Karen. How frustrating. I ordered something from amazon that had to be returned and it went so smoothly. Printed labels and shipping back was free.

Pearlrose. Here's to another op day

my bean soup kept me busy this morning, if you know what I mean, lol. Have to get a walk in this morning and then some shopping
take care

Hi everyone,
Jekel, yes I want to see the pix too. What is the thrash? I have never heard of it.

So, my mother refused to go tour the adult community near her with me the next time I come up. She used every excuse in the book and I ramped, ramped, ramped up the pressure and made her promise she would think about it. I asked her to do it for me and my family (guilt trip). The thing is that I really want her to see at least one place before their next dr. appointment on 12/15. At that appointment the final assessments will be made and I'm fairly sure (and so is the dr.) that the diagnosis will be dementia, and they will need to start making some plans. If my mom sees a nice adult community before that appointment, she might feel she has some options. Keep your fingers crossed that she will agree to go.

Today I have work and then nothing really in the evening - I just need to do some cooking and get ready for my cousin, who is coming to visit on Thursday for 5 days. It's not ideal timing, but I didn't want to say no to her. Her marriage just broke up and I think this trip is a kind of "breaking out."

Hope everyone has a great day...

It is so strange to me that I never get on here until lunch - as a high school teacher, I am up at about 5:30, but I do not seem to sit down until 11 or 11:30 each day. Good news for me is that I get to read everyone's posts!

Tomorrow is my official weigh in day - with Thanksgiving involved, I am hoping for an overall 5 lb loss on this Phase 1. Strangely enough, although I am looking forward to my apple, I don't seem too interested in the grains this time around. In the past, days 12, 13, and 14 were spent dreaming about pita bread . . .

I too have done much on-line X-mas shopping, but most of it has been in the form of donations to causes this year. My parents, other relatives, and husband's grown up family have all gone for "clutter reduction" so gifts to charities in their names have been the BEST! Both my children have high hopes for a new family computer (which we actually already bought), so I am going for finding some other cool things for them to actually unwrap without spending too much additional.

I hope everyone stays out of the wintry muck. I am fine with actual snow, but anything related to ice can move on out.

Be well!

Very late check-in for me although I have been up and on the go since 5 getting ready for Paul and his crew who arrived at 67:30 sharp. Gotta love these guys! I did manage to clear the rooms and hall and had already figured out how to be sure I could sleep upstairs and pack my suitcase.

The carpet is all out of the upstairs revealing maple floors that have been destroyed by nails and spilled paint. Not re-finishable, I'm afraid due to deep gouges. So ... Paul is off in Kingston getting me new maple flooring for the upstairs. $$$$$ but hey! If I smoked ....

Taking the doggage to the kennel this afternoon to make life a bit easier for the next 24 hours. It'll be an early bed for me tonight, getting my US$ and printing boarding pass in the a.m. that there are no spanners thrown in the works! Hmmm - maybe I'll do the banking this afternoon after dropping off the doggage.

Back later to read and catch up on the December Weightloss Targets.

Matilda sorry for the typo lol thrash sounds much cooler then the train. So sorry your mom is still adamant about not going to see a place.

Great job Bea staying on plan through Thanksgiving. You have more will power than I did.

Ruth hope the new floors don't break the bank. If they are prefinished it will be less of a hassle

Sophie your post made me giggle. I could use some of your soup

Glad I ran my errands early. It is cold and dank here. I think it will be a tea by the fireplace afternoon with a nap thrown in for good measure

I just texted the pic to Jennifer (switching over to the real name now, since we've met, LOL), so I'll let her post it when she gets a chance. I was tempted to crop it so I'd look skinnier, but I figured that isn't what this place is about! Mom and I were both big Jennifer fans. I swear, we sat down at the table and before we knew it, 3 hours had passed. Jennifer even found out that I am going to have a great niece in April before I did! LOL

Just dropped mom off at the airport about 3 hours ago. She was sad to go, but had a great trip. Phantom of the Opera was AMAZING...loved it SO MUCH. Carmine's was total food porn as always, so I won't tell you ladies about it. Trust me, it was NOT SBD friendly, LOL

Now to get me a little nap before heading back in to work tonight.
