Desparate for help

I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. I do great with the SBD up until around 3-4 in the afternoon. Then I get really hungry and just grap the junk.:( I've tried having the celery/cheese, the nuts (which I can't seem to stop eating), string cheese, and cottage cheese. (No I don't eat all of that!) I don't know if it's me or am not eating enough of a snack or lunch. :?: Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how did you beat it? Thanks for listening and helping if you can.:^:

yes, I had that problem. I think I have it licked now....for two or three days you have to pin your ears back and not give in...after that... the afternoon cravings go away. At least that is what happened for me. Good luck.

P.S. It isn't easy but, it did work for me.

Lastime, I'm having the same problem right now. I suspect that in my case it's because I'm tired by that point in the day. I occasionally have a nap, but it's not always possible, and I don't think it's the complete solution. I think we need to be eating some protein to get us going... is that so, girls?

Hi ellis!!!

I am assuming of course, that she has already had a protien snack!! It was a rough time of day for me...that little snack just didn't seem like enough....I wanted MORE!!! I just had to ride it out a few days and then it went away..:D

I'm sure you're right, Whimsey. I just have to PULL MYSELF TOGETHER!
I WAS thinking I might try eating a boiled egg as a snack in the afternoon... might perk me up a bit.

SandiLu 07-24-2003 11:16 AM

The hard boiled egg usually works for me. Sometimes I make it into a deviled egg. Making it kills a little bit time and it seems to take a teensy bit longer to eat too.

Great idea, Sandi... thanks! (you mean you don't pop the entire thing in your mouth at once? ;) )

Ruthxxx 07-24-2003 05:27 PM

Sheesh, Ellis! That's how we got in trouble in the first place! What WERE we thinking?

ellis 07-24-2003 06:07 PM

We were thinking that that's how big our mouth is and that's how much fits into it at once. :D

Ellis-Chicken egg or Ostrich egg?(snicker)

I find if i do not eat enough protein at a meal then that is when i crave things. i been having turkey, ham or what ever meat and then take a slice and put couple slices of cheese on outside for bread. then fill with vegies . then also i put it into small pieces for snacks and like put ham, then cheese on top of that and a slice to tomatoe, pickle and onion and lettuce would be ok to. its filling then and not wanting to snack. if i get an urge for fruit. which is my weakness. i been getting the orange diet soda and it serves the purpose for me. jsut some ideas.. also mix tuna salad or egg salad and eat in middle of lettuce leave. that is snacky to.. good luck to all of you. Well, yes I have been known to pop a whole egg in my mouth, but that's a whole 'nuther story! Nothing like one of my favorite movies, "Cool Hand Luke" though:lol:
Anyway, I find that sometimes when I'm craving something real sweet and fruity I mix a small spoon of dry SF jello powder (orange is especially good) in some FF cottage cheese. It's pretty good.

Sandilu-I'd forgotten about that scene!!!! oog!!!!
