Good Day Chicks! I'm just checking in after being away for 2 days. Fri. is weigh day for us and I was suprised to find I'd shed 4 this week! I actually got off the scales and back on to check! DH stayed the same so there was minimal pats on the back! That gives us a total of -28 for me and -22 for DH. I'm kind of new here after moving from Prevention but I'd like you to know that the plan definately works. We follow it really close, still eat out often and don't "play" with the can I have this game.
After staying on Phase 1 an extra 2 weeks We slowly added some fruit at night and cereal 3 x a week mornings- DH a bit more liberally because he has less to lose. Basically we have no cravings- not saying we wouldn't like a meal at Sonny's ( an all you can eat type of BBQ here in Fl.) but then I realize that's what helped to get us to this point in the first place! It takes time but our routine is almost automatic now and we don't do a lot of "thinking" about what's to eat--we just do it automatically. Stay focused- it's worth the effort! I know this is long but wanteed yo to know there's light at the end ( and in between) the end of the tunnel! |
Anna-Thanks! Having a chicken breast ALL the time while the family is grilling sausages and hotdogs gets OLD. Glad to know there are other options!! (Don't trust most hotdogs!!!)
Laked-Glad you are doing so well!! I've been coming to some of the same realizations myself about eating patterns. And i'm actually starting to crave Some of the healthier choices!! I had a salad with grilled salmon (cold, leftover from night before) on it last night, and it tasted WONDERFUL!!! Just am really starting to ENJOY the healthy food!!! SandiLu-Good suggestion about the flax seeds, thanks!! I bet Kroger is a lot cheaper than the health food stores too!!! Whimsey-I felt likde I was eating too much at first too, but I lost weight anyway!! And now my appetite seems to be magically shrinking....I'm sure not complaining though!!! Jen-Don't know the official answer I'm afraid!! I try to get at least 8 glasses of water in, and have splenda drinks as well!!! HI!!! to Sil, Di and I Luv you Peggy Sue!!!! |
Yippieee for me as soon as I get paid today I am going out to buy the book, an early birthday present to myself. This weekend I'm spending it reading at the beach no matter what the weather lol.

I love the SBD and it's a woe I can make a wol, for sure. Addionally, it's made me think about my eating patterns. I have had a problem with night time snacking but that's abated since I've been true to SBD! :D Den: grilled slamon sounds mighty good! Yay!!!!! Today was weigh in, and I had lost 8 pounds since last Wed. 8 pounds in a week and 1 day!!!!!! Hurray for South BEach Diet!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooo excited!!!!!!:cb:
