Weight-measure??

  • Hello-- Very new to this so hope you don't mind me asking...
As SB'ers do you weigh and or measure foods?
Are there limits and or quantities for example FF milk
per day. I do have SB book-but it's quite old 2003--anything different?
Is there a latest and greatest?
    How 'bout the official website?
    Thank you, everyone.
  • Sorry meant weigh and measure
  • I can only speak for myself. I do not weigh anything nor do I count calories. Yes there are "limits and allowances." If memory serves me correctly only two servings of nuts per day. Dairy is two cups (not cheese lol) Check your book The original and Super Charged are not much different. Super Charge does have exercises, but really no need to buy the new book as the principles are the same. I never joined the official website. The support and the recipe section keep me checking I everyday. Good luck, definitely check out the recipe forum.
  • Jennifer how very kind of you to take the time to not only read my post but to also respond to help me.
Thanks for the info -- I will take the book out tomorrow and go over things.
Again thank you. Very much appreciated. I'm hoping Ivan do this.
  • BTW - your stats are great! All on South beach?
  • You absolutely can do this!!!! Yes all on SB What I have really learned is not to beat myself up if I am not perfect. I didn't get to my heaviest weight overnight ( years ago I was even heavier than when I began SB) so I shouldn't expect a quick fix to a healthy weight.
  • One of the things I like about SB is that I don't count, weigh or measure. With a few exceptions, like nuts. I would say that I am somewhat "calorie aware" - I don't keep an overall count at all but do make some choices in foods or servings size based on how caloric foods are.
