Good morning. My manager was kind enough to give me most of the holiday dates off but I'm working this afternoon.

My (adult) nephew is due to arrive any minute this morning, being dropped off by his family as they drive back to MN; he flies out from here today. DH will take him and our overnight guest to the airport late morning. DS2 will come back from his wild weekend some time today and we'll take him to the airport tonight. Then back to normal :)

Good morning :coffee2: The weekend is totally out of whack. Tim got up yesterday with severe pain in his right shoulder. He lives with chronic pain from youth back injuries, so when he says it hurts it really must. I ended up picking him up from work between CSA set-up and arrival of the first customer. We went to Urgent Care later. The good news is they think it's just severe muscle strain from putting cabinets up by himself (note - 50 is not the new 30). He's home today too so we will probably go out to Sunday brunch, something we never do. After that I told him I have to get to my chore list.

Today's plan includes putting some chai spiced pear applesauce on, laundry, desk arranging, and other fun stuff :dizzy: Hunting season ended yesterday so I'm looking forward to a woods walk if he is up to it.

It's been a wonderful, fun-filled holiday week, but alas, all good things must come to an end and Ruth has to drive home today. :( She's breaking up her trip with an overnight stay in Cortland, NY tonight. We had a delightful day yesterday when several of our friends drove down from northern NJ and joined us for a day of shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, and we had a lovely lunch at the famous Kling House.

Well, I can hear Ruth upstairs, so I'd better go see if I can carry her suitcase downstairs for her.

Thanks for the welcome. Seeing everyone working out is the motivation I need. I joined the gym months ago and have only gone a few times. I'm packing my gym back tonight and going after work tomorrow.

Today is the first time in almost a year that DH and I have a sitter and have the day to ourselves. We are going to the first half of the Browns game and then stopping at the new casino downtown. P1 is going to tough to stick to today.

Well I was up at 6am to go to the gym - it wasn't easy getting there but once I was there I was feeling pretty good! :) I didn't do as much as yesterday - I was a little sore and got winded early - but I pushed myself as much as I could and I am pretty pleased with my effort!!

Nummee - did you get out for your run? How is day one going for you?? Today is day 6 for me and so far I am staying strong....still battling some exhaustion but it's better than it was.....

Phew busy weekend. Accomplished getting the house in order and decorated. Awoke to terrible news concerning a train derailment. I called in to be added to the "recall" list even though I am on vacation. Tomorrow off to Joe's to tend to the critters. I do need to drive in to the city to get my gear. Maybe tomorrow DS will go with me. My training class in NM might be canceled, but nothing definite yet. just going to roll with the flow this week. So thankful I was off and not on the train going to work (that is my back up running late train) Have an enjoyable evening all. I think I may need to ride the bike for awhile tonight

Busy day here- delivered DS1 to his buddy for the ride back to school, did a little shopping. Am now baking my breakfast quiche for the week.

It is snowing again. Guess there is no way around it: winter is here. Might as well embrace it and put up the decorations!!

Jennifer, I'm glad you checked in since I was thinking of you ever since I heard about that awful tragedy. I feel so bad for the victims but am so thankful that you weren't on that train. :hug:
