walk of shame :)

Well, I'd been really successful (going from 265 to 185), and then we had a tragedy in our family. I was back up to about 225 when I put my foot down, and then my husband lost his job, and I went back up to 253. So disgusted with myself (but also love myself...)

At least I didn't gain back EVERYTHING I lost. :) And I think I'm in for the long haul this time. :)

Sometimes we slip because we don't want to burden others with the challenges we face in life. There is no shame in admitting when we fall because the strength needed to get back up is what truly counts. Welcome back :)

Welcome back!
No need to be ashamed. I managed to lose 20lb 2 years ago for the first time and then put it all back on again. It took me a while to come to terms with that. I finally realized that all I can do is start again and hopefully learn from my mistakes.

I couldn't agree more! Getting knocked down in life should not be a source of shame for you! Getting back up is a victory. Celebrate it.

Like that silly song I used to hear ten times a day "I GET KNOCKED DOWN BUT I GET UP AGAIN".

Fall down two times - get up three (the definition of success).

:D

*hugs* I'm glad you are back. My husband and I had a terrible year last year, and in that time we both lost our jobs, I had a miscarriage, etc. I pretty much just wanted to die by the end of it all. I went from 191 all the way up to 213 before I got myself back into some order. I hate seeing the scale go up too but at least you are working at it again :)
