A bit of a late check-in this morning. I actually slept until 6:15 this morning and had to scurry around to get the trash out for the lad before I could get my coffee. Jekel and I were on the same wave-length only I'm behind.
Linda, I love it when you say "Today's my Friday." I wish it were mine.
Tammy, sending warm thoughts to you as you mourn. It takes a long time, I'm afraid. I think I ached more over the loss of my dogs than of some of my relatives.
Cyndy, you are working too hard but when you examine the alternatives ...
Got some quilting prep done yesterday after gym and then went down for the mail. Barb was there and admitted to feeling a bit down. (She has a lot of physical problems but never complains.) I convinced her to come to town with me as I HAD to go to the bank. (A lie!) We had a fun chicken and salad lunch at Swiss Chalet, drove home the long way to see the leaves and everyone felt a lot better. Of course that meant I got very little accounting done but it was so much more enjoyable. "Seize the day."
Today will be a nose to the grindstone day as I try to catch up. The auditor is bugging me to get him more papers for the audit and Revenue Canada keeps reminding me the tax return is due October 30. First on the agenda should be calling Rob to get my printer working again as I sure need it for all this crud. If that fails, I'll print everything at the Mill which is a drag.
Really hoping to get some time to spend outdoors poking away at garden clean-up. Those eggplant are still out there and I still have a Swiss chard forest plus lots of banana peppers. (I thought they were hot but they sure are not! Made a note for next year.)
Lifting my Newman's coffee to salute us on this October morning. Rainy here but
inside my head.
