Maybe this isn't what everyone's used to hearing, but starting on the SB diet has made it difficult for me to eat enough. I know that it's unhealthy to eat less than 1200 calories, but I'm not hungry enough to eat that much on this diet! I'm on day 2 of P1. I've been counting calories for 2 months, but it wasn't working so I tried SB (which I already love). I know we don't need to count calories on SB, but I wanted to make sure that I'm eating approximately the right amount (more than 1200 and less than my standard maintenance value).

Do I have to follow the 2 snack + desert rule religiously? I just ate my afternoon snack and I feel way too full. I also just checked my calorie count for the day and I'm definitely going to come in under 1200 calories for the second day in a row.

what are you having for your meals? maybe I need some pointers from you lol most days I'm good but others, like right now omg I am starving, like I wish I could go grab some taco bell starving LOL not just toss me a celery stick LOL mind you, I am NOT going to eat anything I shouldn't but IDK what to do, even if I stick to approved foods, I don't want to overeat either :( UGH

I realized that meals that combine fibrous veggies, lots of protein and sufficient unsaturated fats keep me full for a long time. Also, try adding more legumes to your diet - yesterday I had chickpeas and black beans during the day, and I wasn't hungry until 8 PM.

Also, even though some people think that it's not good to eat after 8 PM, I usually don't eat dinner until around that time. Eating at 8 or 8:30 keeps me full until I fall asleep, so I'm not compelled to have a snack before bed. That was one of the things that made me gain so much weight - I would eat early (at 6 or 7), and then I'd find myself having another dinner-sized portion of starchy or fatty food around 10 PM.
