Goodbye south beach (at least temporarily)

I have been instructed to go on a low residue diet until we find out what the heck is wrong with my digestive system. I go in for a colonoscopy on Nov 22. So goodbye SB for now. I'm planning on still hanging around here cause I love you guys! You are the best supporters ever and I love my SB! :p

Wish me luck.

I've had the exact problem - when I started South Beach and even now I get flare ups. They treat it like Ischemic Colitis. So I've modified SB to include SOME sort of processed food every day or every other day. I am happy to talk to you more in a PM about it. I've had 7 colonoscopies, 4 endoscopies and 4 hospitalizations since 2007...I feel your pain!

Low residue is not fun - use some SB properties (like cooked vegetables, sweet potatoes not white). Anything cooked is low residue!

Hope it all works out. Keep us updated!

YES! Jenn, I'd love to talk to you through PM about it.

I was given a low residue sheet to follow strictly until they know what's wrong. I have at least a couple of weeks to eat this way until I know something. I have a feeling I'm going to have to modify SB myself. I've been doing so well since I started SB in June. I've had a few flare ups but nothing like this. This time it's horrible. I had constant flare ups prior to SB, so when I got better after being on SB for a while I thought I might have found my cure. And now this.

Lifting my mug in a toast to getting this problem resolved quickly. So glad you are still going to hang out with us though.
