What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

I don't know what to do for Thanksgiving. My friend Kathy wants me to order Pizza, she'll be spending the night, good times! I'll get to meet her boyfriend. I hope Papa Johns does Whole grain Pizza. I'm determined to see the 280s by year's end!

We've already had our Canadian Thanksgiving here but I get to do American Thanksgiving too this year. :cb: I know the food will be delicious but I hope to avoid anything really wicked and make good choices - most of the time.

Right attitude Ruthie!

I'll be sharing another good old Yankee Thanksgiving with Ruth, and I promise there will be loads of wickedly good food choices. My entire family will be here and everybody brings a dish of their choice, and they're all great cooks. ;) I will make sure there are a few healthy OP selections, and I'm going to try to entice Ruth into trying Tofurky again. :D

Ruth, When you've had enough of tofurky (yuck), head down south for some fried turkey! :D We'll attend my sister's Jazzercise class after lunch. :)

I am going to go up to Maine for a week (Cyndi - maybe we can meet in NH???) and am spending the time with my in-laws.

I am going to make some stuff to share (stuffed mushrooms and/or spinach artichoke dip with veggies and WW pita) and a dessert. It's going to be hard as my niece turns two the Sunday we get there and there will be a party! But, I know I will be strong (only weak for lobster and butter ;) )!

Lol Jenn, enjoy!

I have to go ahead and say that I *will* be partaking in my mom's cornbread stuffing on Thanksgiving Day. Everything else isn't too awful...oh wait...I forgot about the homemade mac and cheese. CRAP!!!

Thanksgiving is my absolute FAVORITE holiday after Christmas (and, to be honest, I love the food more than I love Christmas treats). I told myself last year after Christmas that I would not be doing the whole "It's Christmas, I'll get back on track afterwards" crap b/c I felt absolutely disgusting and bloated afterwards. So my plan is to splurge on Thanksgiving, get back on track the next day, and stay on track by making healthier sweet treats for Christmas.

I'm planning on staying OP. I'm going to make some of the recipes on Kalyn's Kitchen. I will be on Ph2 by then, so I should be able to have a tiny bit more options. I really wanna reach my mini goal by December 30th so I have to work really hard. And Christmas is around the corner as well, I can't keep giving myself excuses!

We don't go anywhere for Thanksgiving, so I may just make chicken or steaks. But like Natasha, I will miss cornbread stuffing, that is the only way to eat stuffing. But since I do the cooking, if I don't make it, I can't eat it.

And I don't even want to think about Christmas, yet.

We stay home so everything will be on plan. I usually make a big dinner with pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

I will be making a pumpkin cheesecake but using my low-carb sugar-free recipe w/ an almond meal crust. Yum!!!

I always go to a friend's parents house for the day. Absolutely nothing there is OP. I made the decision that I am going just have small servings of the things I LOVE and skip the rest. I am only there for one meal, and the left overs stay there...so no additional temptation.

I'm planning on bringing things to T'giving that I like & are SB friendly.
I'm thinking... a fresh baked loaf of whole grain bread, Quinoa pilaf, baked sweet potatoes, the meat will be provided, fresh from my garden collard greens seasoned with a smoked turkey drumstick, and baked mountain apple pie and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

We'll be visiting with my parents, and have reservations at a really nice restaurant. My mom can't cook these days, and frankly, I always love going out, and this place is really nice (the Rhinecliff Hotel in Rhinebeck, NY). I'm sure I'll go off plan, especially since we will be on vacation that whole week.
