Friday SBD Chat for 9/30
Good morning on this last day of September! It's a bit chilly in the house this morning since we left the windows open overnight. I guess there won't be many more nights left when I can do that.
Little Tyler will be spending the morning with me, and we have some errands to run before we go to the park. It would be nice to have our lunch there, but the bees are crazy this time of year, especially when food is around.
I have a big basket full of peppers from the garden that I have to attend to this afternoon, and I'll stuff a couple with quinoa for our supper and freeze the rest. Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain, we're going to take Amber with us to the Apple Harvest Festival near Gettysburg. We did that last year and it was a lot of fun!
I have time to enjoy one more cup of coffee before the little gets here, and I'd better take advantage of it!

Note to self: Don't forget to take allergy medicine No wonder I have a headache and stuffy nose this morning. Yesterday was a crazy busy day so I'm looking forward to having less on my plate today. And I mean less on my PLATE too! First up, working out with my mom. My teen heads to Vegas with his pledge group for the weekend; I'm trying not to think about it!
Linda - Stuffed quinoa peppers sound great. My husband is very into quinoa so we've been experimenting. Have fun with Tyler today.
Have a great Friday, everyone. BBL.

Good Morning
Linda, the Apple Harvest sounds fantastic! We just talked with someone about Gettysburg yesterday. Have fun!
Karen, I had my first laugh of the day....I wouldn't want to think about the kids in Vegas, either. I hope you get a good workout.
Well we are seriously thinking about taking our roadtrip back East. It seems the next few weeks are totally free. I have Nephews in Ann Arbor, and Springfield Mo. and Kirk's brother is in Virginia. Working out a few details will be on my agenda along with some regular tasks.
Have a great day everyone!

Early chicks abound! Good morning and to Linda, Karen and Debbie and thanks for starting us up.
Actually had 7½ hours of sleep last night for a change! The dogs were very happy to see me this morning and had their legs crossed.
I plan to be outta here by nine delivering schoolwork and Fair prizes throughout the Township. I'm going to wear a raincoat and take big plastic bags as rain is predicted and it wouldn't do to ruin the children's precious work. This afternoon will definitely be an "at home" day with a bit of accounting and some sewing happening. I have more pants to shorten than pants that fit in my closet! (The big purge happened this week in spare moments.)
Hey! It's the last day of September! How did that happen? I'll start up the October Weightloss thread.

Crazy busy day here, but wanted to stop in and say hi! Had my first OP meal last night since fully committing to SBD! I deliberated and decided, so I don't feel guilty at all. It was a special dinner out to celebrate my head chef's five year anniversary with the company and one of my manager's last week before she goes back to school! So we went to a great restaurant that has one of my all time favorite food porn dishes, balsamic glazed short ribs with spaghetti, roasted tomato and caramelized onions. Oh man are they good! Had one or two bites of two appetizers, and a small piece of chocolate flourless cake. It was divine! Back on track today.
I'm sorry I don't have more time for shoutouts, work has been very busy...which of course in the restaurant industry means $$$ and is a great thing! Just not as much me time.
I hope everyone is doing well and has a great day! Cyndi, I hope Julie is home and feeling great!

Way to go Chel!
I will spare you all the drama but long story short - DW and I are back at the hospital and she is being readmitted. Might be more of the same or something she picked up here. Gotta love hospitals.
