P1 and SF ice cream

I am in week 2 of my second time around on P1 and have lost weight already! Forgot how much I love feeling great about myself as I eat healthy work out and my jeans get bigger!!!

I was checking out another SB friendly site and as a dessert they suggest sugar free ice cream or no sugar added ice cream. Would that be allowed, i didnt think so. But you never know. Thanks for your help in advace.

I pray it might be true, my desserts cravings are in line with my time of the month. ahhhhh!!!

To the best of my knowledge ice cream of any kind is not allowed during phase one but I could be wrong as I'm certainly not an expert. I'll let some of our more experienced beachers confirm this for you. However, you might try some nf plain greek yogurt mixed with a little sf jam or sf jello or cinnamon and a little artifical sweetener and then freeze it.

I'm going to go with "no" due to the maltodextrin and such in ice cream (starch.) We're allowed 75 calories of "sweet treats" per day, sugar-free of course, and a No Sugar Added Fudgesicle IS allowed (and delicious!) Look in the Phase 1 Desserts section of our forum to find other ideas for Phase 1 friendly desserts.

Check the ingredients on your carton of ice cream. I believe most of them contain a lot of additives and flavor enhancers that should be avoided during the de-toxing of Phase 1.
I know no-sugar-added popsicles are allowed in Phase 1, but even then, they cause cravings for some people.
