It's a great DAY!!

  • So a month and 1/2 or so ago, I was put on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds. I was a little nervous because I kept reading about how these caused weight gain and all. So today I went for my check-up. I have lost 13 lbs in a month!! That is after a few stumbles over holiday, and a trip to NOLA where I had to indulge in a few no-no's. Oh yeah, and my BP is down 20 points! I think I need to quit weighting several times a day so I can enjoy the impact of weight lost in a month....lol. Thanks for reading.....had to rave to someone who would understand!
  • that is great news! looks like you are doing fantastic in your weight. I know for me, I tend to be an emotional eater so definitely stabalizing moods can have an effect. keep up the good work with the good attitude!
  • Excellent! Are you doing South Beach?
  • Yes, I am on South Beach and loving it. It is the first plan ...way of eating that I can stick to. I've had my slips, of course, but nothing major at all! My next biggest challenge is making sure I get enough water....I try, I really do, but sheesh! The cravings have not been terrible, knock on wood. Thanks for commenting and the nice words!
  • Congrats!
  • Congratulations! You must be so proud of your healthy changes. Especially when your check-up went so well!
  • Congrats! This plan really does work, and you're seeing the results of your hard work!
  • Woohoo congratulations on your weight loss!!! Try not to weigh yourself more than once a week. Weighing yourself several times a day is kind of crazy lol.
  • Congratulations on your progress...that is awesome!!! I don't think weighing yourself several times a day is "crazy" as mel put it, but it is probably a little obsessive. I do it sometimes to track water weight gain, but I have noticed when I do it, it tends to be counter-productive.
  • Woo hoo for you!
  • Thanks everybody....making a "I have had this much water today" chart...lol. A new step. Woohoo!
