A run of the mill day here...I could just as easily stay home tonight but my GF came over and needs some exercise, too, so we've made a plan with the approval of my DH who will meet up with us later at the pool for a moonlight soak.

Heidi, Congrats on making your 60 pound loss! That is just fantastic!

Ruth, wow! 72 kids! I guess you are at the mill having fun by now. I think I make my own definitions of words sometimes, but to me putzing around is a little bit more of a casual slacking off...maybe getting a little done here and there, where procrastinating is more of an active avoidance.

BelovedK, :cp: for feeling better!

TallandThin, Hope you've had a nice day to yourself! I suppose hubby is watching football.

Okie,

Leslie(mom4yehoshua), your weekend sounds nice and family oriented...except for the dishes.lol

** Sigh ** So much for sleeping later. I guess yesterday's 7:30 was a fluke.

Long and cold night at The Mill and Museum last night and I sure was glad to get home to cuddle with warm and furry dogs at 9:45, my usual bedtime countdown. Although I'm going tonight, I'll be home at a reasonable hour so can get back on schedule.

Busy day ahead with Church, making a taco bake for a luncheon tomorrow, an afternoon with Joanne as she works on closure with a drop-in afternoon and then going to Heather's place for dinner. I also have bills to pay and final employment papers to do for the Mill curators. They will be working only one day a week in January so ... time to stop procrastinating/putzing and push through.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning, Ruth, and those to come. :coffee:

Ruth, I'm glad Delta's Country Christmas is off to a good start. I'm sure you appreciate your warm, cozy home after all those hours at the Mill, though. Have fun and a nice dinner with Heather and her family this evening.

Debbie, did you get your moonlight swim in, last night? That sounds wonderful, almost like being in a hot tub under the stars.

We had such a good time in NYC yesterday, even though it was bitterly cold and extremely crowded. I didn't get much shopping done, but it was fun to browse at the Christmas Village.
Today's agenda is full of activities. Breakfast at the diner first with Jake, then we're going to attempt some Christmas shopping. I want to finish putting out my collection of Santas this afternoon, and the kids will most likely be here for supper. I want to try to squeeze a visit to my parents in there somewhere, too.

Good morning
Beloved, I'm so glad to read that you slept well last night!
Debbie, I'm with Linda... I want to know details about your late night swim! It sounds like lots of fun.
Ruth, your post has my mouth watering for taco bake. I might just have to stop at the grocery store on my way home from church to pick up some ground beef...

What a day I had yesterday.
I got up early to head back to Maine but when I phoned home Fergie suggested I wait til noon to leave because it was still snowing. So, I finally got my Christmas shopping finished. :D When I left the shopping center and got on the highway again my 'check gauges' light came on. I was surprised, we just had the car in for routine maintenance when we got back from PA. To make a long story short I ended up calling a tow truck, but it would be 2 hours or so before the guy could get there but he'd call when he was on his way so I wouldn't have to wait with the car. Thankfully my sister Connie offered to come get me so I had tea with her while we waited. When we were on our way back to my car, Connie drove over some sort of debris in the road and got a flat tire. :yikes: What were the chances of that? What a day.

Poor Fergie drove down from Maine to get me and then turned around and we drove home. I don't know when I'll get the Durango back or exactly how we're going to work that out... it seems pretty silly to take a day off work to go get my vehicle but it will take 2 of us. I suppose they'll let me pay over the phone with my Visa and maybe one of my sisters will pick it up for me so Ferg and I can get the car after work one evening. *sigh* But on the bright side, I had a really great visit with Connie and she's the sister I don't get to spend a lot of time with.

I've got lots to do today. Too much going on at church and at school this time of year, plus I want to get those gifts I bought yesterday wrapped and tagged. My hula hoops are in the back of my car :( so I guess I'll hit the treadmill or wii fit today, or maybe both. But in the meantime I need my breakfast. Enjoy your Sunday friends!

Good morning!

Debbie - I remember having to square dance in gym. I actually liked it but it was very uncool to say that. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Beloved - Glad to hear you are feeling better.

Heidi - Yikes! Glad that you made it home safely, even if it was car-less.

Good Morning:sunny:

Ouch, Heidi! Easy trips sure get complicated when you have to start shuffling vehicles. Glad you got to spend some time with your sis.

Linda, now I know where I can offload a Santa if I ever need to! NYC sounded fun.

Ruth, enjoy your tub and maybe hot tea would be a good beverage.

Karen,

The Contra dance was a bit of a bust. I was very nervous heading out on my own-still carrying around a bit of the fat girl syndrome. I felt comfortable once I got there. The caller was not as good, and when we left at 9pm it was still not kicking. I am glad I went.

Moonlight swim was much nicer! Actually, we just soaked in the hot pool which is 104 degrees. The stars were out and the nearby lights of Hotel Colorado were visible. No locals but us, so we just visited and stayed until closing at 10pm. The big pool (2 blocks long) only had 25-30 people and it was too steamy to see the lap lanes or diving board, but someone is usually there.

I may actually head to the pool before church....then a concert at 1:30 which will finish up the day.

Have a good one!

Afternoon my friends. Morning just slipped away from me.

Nat, Hope you and Shadow enjoyed theChristmas parade . I'm love dogs and would sure like to see a picture of him/her. By now you are probably well on your way back home.

Lex, Contra dancing, pool, skiing, what wonderful ways to get your exercise in. Sure beats walking!

Annie, how nice to have friends sharing your SB life style. Sure would make it a lot easier when going out to eat. Would that soup be phase one without the tortilla?

Linda, I've never been to NY but glad you three had a great time especially this time of year with all the decorations.

Cyndi, how was the Nutcracker?

WT, I agree about it being harder to buy for older boys and more expensive. We have three GS's so I know what I'm talking about :).

Heidi, Sorry about all your problems getting home but just have to ask, did you get that snow shoveled?

Well, time to get back to work. Doing laundry today to get it out of the way so I can have next week for shopping. Got a few gifts wrapped but more to do. Have my meals planned for a couple of days so that takes pressure off. Will be working on a couple of gifts and just relaxing this afternoon.

Later

Heidi58 12-05-2010 05:29 PM

 Not last night, but the walks are clear now TallandThin.

annieoh 12-05-2010 07:30 PM

Tall and Thin: The soup is absolutely phase 1 without the tortilla strips. And the tortilla strips are a whole wheat, net 4 carb, 60 cal wonder.

Dinner tonight: Five bean chili, with cheddar cheese and cheddar cheese "crackers".

Hey Annie, I can't seem to find the recipe for the five bean chili. Can you either post it or a link to it? Thanks. I'm a bit worried about that much cheese at one meal but could forgo the crisps just to be save.
