Need tips

  • Hi all. So I am stuck at 21 lbs, haven't lost a pound in 3 weeks. I need some help. The only whole grain product I have added is a whole grain tortilla for lunch with my burrito. Should I go back to Phase 1 for a while? I really need to get this off quicker! I am also drinking 1 sugary starbucks per day, could that be ht eproblem?
  • For me, and the way my body works, it would be. Try taking the drink out. Worst thing that happens is nothing. Best thing that happens is that you start losing weight again.
  • How much exercise are you getting?

While theoretically you can loose weight without it, my weight comes off soooo much faster when I'm faithful about exercising.
  • I am doing 40 minutes of cardio plus weights everyday. I am at the gym at 4am FAITHFULLY. I would say in 60 days I have missed maybe 5?
  • But I have a serious Starbucks habit. What if I go to SF hazelnut and count it as my sweet treat? I so love the eggnog latte but it's got sooo many calories LOL.
  • SF Starbucks is great. The sugary one spikes your blood sugar which takes your body out of the optimum state for weightloss when you're following SBD. Once a week....maybe....but every day just isn't setting you up for where you say you want to go.
  • mind posting a menu or two? try upping your cardio - either intensity or time. try some interval training.

definitely ditch the calorific starbucks drinks. maybe have a sugar free one every day and treat yourself once in awhile to an eggnog latte. 40-minutes is likely not enough exercise to work off an eggnog latte and having one every day is going to start adding up.
  • I love the SF FF lattes at Starbucks. I wouldn't touch the sugar laden ones if I was trying to lose.
  • Yes, get rid of that drink. It's 300 calories at least probably and you don't know whether it's spiking other cravings, even for healthy food. You can replace it with a SF option but honestly the best thing is probably to cut it off completely and try to lose your taste for it. Other than that your body might be just catching up with your past loss. And if you've only recently (within a month) started the exercise program, your muscles will be retaining water.
  • Why don't you post some daily menus so you can get feedback on what you are eating. One totally off the wall thought I have is that you may actually have cut your calories TOO much, which makes your body lower your metabolism.
