I eat my fruits whenever and I haven't gotten cravings.
|
If I stick to on plan foods, I haven't really found anything that triggers cravings too badly. The only issue I seem to have is fighting the whole "oh but a sandwich should go with chips!" or other foods that are off plan that I think I should eat with something on plan. I haven't had pasta yet though... so we'll see. I have no portion control at all with pasta so that's going to be awhile before I try it. Same with pizza.
However, I have found that bread is a big no no for me. One sandwich with whole wheat bread will immediately put me up a pound that will take me a week or more to lose. How? No clue. But, no more bread for me for awhile. I'm hoping to try a good wrap soon and see how that works. Lamay- what part of Norcal are you in? I'm the Bay Area, in the process of relocating from South Lake Tahoe (thus the username) |
SLT - We're kinda close. I'm about half way between Auburn and Grass Valley in the foothills. I used to work for the U.S. Forest Service and drove from Nevada City to SLT once a week. So much fun during the winter! However, you sure can't beat the view. Now that I'm retired, don't get up there much but sure have the memories. Good luck in the bay area. I sure don't go there anymore, too many people and way too much traffic for this small town gal.

Nuts...major binge food (but I love them!) - If I'm having a bad day, I don't know how to stop with the nuts. Luckily, it doesn't progress to sugar, but I'm sure it's not good to eat half a can of nuts in one sitting. :yikes:
Flavored triscuits. Just flavored, I'm fine with the plain ones. I think it has something to do with the wheat + msg? I don't know. I've banned them from the house since I found out I can't eat them without eating half a box. I have rediscovered that fruit is my friend. I don't have issues where fruit is concerned - go figure? Corn and potatoes don't bother me too much, but they are rare treats (like once a month). |
