Afternoon all! All the talk about cold weather's putting me in a fall mood! Although . . . it's still in the 90s here. Sweated gallons yesterday working in the garden.

We had Chinese tacos again last night--my name for crack slaw on low-carb tortillas. DH loves 'em as much as I do. We spread wasabi on the tortilla first, then fill it and serve it with a Thai peanut sauce.


The new job is almost too good to be true: doing what I love, setting my own hours, at home, in my sweats/pjs, and getting paid really decent money. I'm just waiting for something bad to happen. Most days it doesn't allow me much time to check these boards though until late.

At any rate, have a lovely Wednesday. Wish I had a skinny decaf latte right now!!! (Or that I was planning a CRUISE wardrobe!!!)

Good afternoon, ladies. :) Woke up w/ a very sore throat this afternoon, so I've got some Hot and Sour Soup coming to me soon. It always helps. I've doubled up on the Vitamin C for now and have a good supply of Halls coughdrops on hand. Usually this works to knock it out in a day or two. I hope so b/c we've already got one out of work this weekend and then two out on Sunday.

WaistingTime - Congrats on getting back to the gym. Hey, at least you had a valid excuse, LOL!!!

FoodObsessed - Isn't it GREAT when all those cravings disappear??? When I started SB I thought for sure that it was BS that the cravings actually disappear...boy was I surprised when they did!!! ;) You're through the hard part now. ;)

zeffryn - Don't get discouraged...it'll all balance out by the end of the month. ;) I stalled for a couple of weeks last month and didn't lose a thing...but finally 5 pounds just fell off in the past week. And you are SO right...eating clean foods feels GREAT...and my skin is even smoother!!!

KO - I think a dark blue house w/ white trim sounds really cute. Oooooh, the black sheep of the neighborhood, huh??? Sounds fun!!! ;) I think I would go crazy if my whole house was beige. My bedroom is a lovely "english green" (that's what it was called) w/ pale yellow trim...the hall bathroom is bright purple...the living room and family room are mauve...and the office will be "Georgia Bulldog red" shortly. ;)

Lexxiss - Hope hubby has gotten over his case of the grumps by now. If not, a frying pan to the back of the head ought to help. :devil: Okay, not really...it should always be a last resort. ;)

rdw1 - Hope you got all your grouting and mowing done today. Those are 2 things that are pretty hard work!!!

honeysox - The Chinese tacos sound similar to the wonton tacos they serve at Applebees. Those are HEAVEN...haven't had them in quite some time now. I love Thai food...I've missed it. :( I cheated and had some Pad Thai the other day, though, along w/ some stuffed chicken wings.
