Little treat today...

Yesterday was 14 days on Phase 1 with no cheats! So we decided to have a little treat today. DH got a Snickers bar(I have decided to not talk him out of stuff...he has to learn for himself)....I got an artichoke. :) We also both got a small bottle of Diet soda to see what we think of it....not sure I will like it, but we will try it.
Also got my eyes dilated for the first time ever...its weird. I had to get glasses! I hate how expensive they are...ugh. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! Its rainy here...ready for more sun. ;)

Congrats on chosing the healthier option!!! Awesome.

I didn't think I'd like diet soda either when I switched in 2003 but I've not had anything since. Try Coke Zero -- tastes most like the real thing (thought I love Diet Pepsi).

I just finished 21 days on phase 1 and proud that he did that..I cant seem to Cheat even though I was surrounded by yummy carbs tonight.Great job and completing the first 2 weeks

I tried Diet Dr. Pepper...not a fan. I only drank about half. DH tried Diet Pepsi Max, and it tasted decent but they all have a weird after taste to me. I think I will stick with my sugar free Crystal Light Raspberry Ice! Yum!!! :)

I like diet Dr. Pepper, but it took a bit to get used to diet drinks. I actually started when we were in Germany. There "lite" drinks are different than ours and so it was like a gradual change.

i find that i have to go atleast 2 weeks without regular pop before i can tolerate the taste of diet...although now i don't seem to have that issue

I'm going to date myself here, but I've been drinking Diet Soda since the only option on the market was Tab.... Regular soda has tasted like straight sugar to me for years, I can't tolerate it at all....

Pink.... It looks like we've got a couple of things in common... I'm also in Utah and have PCOS.... Where in the State are you? I'm north of Salt Lake....

Congratulations on a clean Phase 1! :carrot:

Thanks! North of Salt Lake too! :) Don't you hate the weather we have been having? I bought some veggie plants that need to go in the ground, but stupid snow is ruining the plan!!! :P

The weather really has been bizzare.... We just got back from a Mexican Riviera cruise, so it's been a VERY rude awakening!

You're off to a great start... keep it up! :cheer:

Me too! And my parents only bought diet so as not to rot our teeth so I have never liked the real stuff. But I don't drink any now, just don't like it that much.

I used to drink regular Dr Pepper all the time, but since switching to diet soda 10 years ago I can't stand regular now. Coke Zero and Cherry Diet Dr Pepper are my faves.

PinkHoodie, Great job choosing the healthy option! It's a great feeling! How fun that you and 1oftheLuvs are both in Utah, my parents live there too.

Mmm Diet Vanilla Coke... can't always find it, but it's delish.

I find I have fewer cravings and eat better in general when I don't drink any soda (diet or no), though. Anybody else have that?

After switching from regular soda 4 years ago, I can honestly say I LOVE diet drinks. Thank goodness too, or else I'd go crazy drinking water all day!

Also, I used to live north of Salt Lake as well! Layton, to be exact. I grew up in Salt Lake City. I miss southern Utah sooooooo much (the Moab area).
