Morning everyone! Hope you all are enjoying the sunshine!
Heidi- Thanks for starting us off this morning! Cyndi- Yoga during lunch, you are dedicated! Might be going to a ball/resistance class during lunch when I get back... its a trade off for a friend going with me to zumba. No idea what it will be like, but worth a try. Jenn - Hope things work out all right and you have an enjoyable weekend. LadyJez- Congratulations! Ruth - If you see Pocahontas, tell her I say Hi! I hope you are enjoying your trip to Disney and that it isn't too crowded. Epcot was definitely one of my favorite places at Disney. I liked the water/fireworks show they do at night. As for me, I finally got to sleep in late this morning... until 10:30, which was kind of nice. Really enjoyed going to Youth Group last night, I usually video chat with them and this was the first time that I wasn't a mysterious talking blob. We joked that that I was in HD. =) Today my mom and I are finalizing vacation plans (Florida for a Harry Potter Conference/Theme Park and maybe Canada?) and then I'm heading over to the local university again to meet up with some friends and help them with some costumes they've been working on for a convention. Oh, how nerdy I am, and how I love it! Adios! |
You would not believe the mess here. Mud, mud, mud, everywhere. The water guys managed to cut the power and phone lines into the house while they were digging, even though everything was well marked ahead of time. We were without power from 9am until about 30 minutes ago, and a lot of neighbors on our street that were home were pretty PO'd. Our front lawn is totally destroyed, but they promise to "fix" things for us when they are finished.
I'm making a salad and taking a glass of iced tea to the back patio and going to soak up some sunshine. |
Hindsight is 20-20. We should have hit the road yesterday. Stayed for new powder but there was no snow here but such high winds the ski resort has been closed all day. Now we are stuck another night because of big snow in Denver and will try to get home in one day tomorrow. Fingers crossed. We'd be in better shape if DS had done his homework before we left and we didn't have to be home for that!
Pizza ordered in for my condo gang but I am eating my leftovers from dinner last night that I saved just in case! I miss my scale but am a bit scared to get on when I am finally home. |
Great to hear from everyone today!
LadyJez, Congrats! on your milestone! Linda, OMG I hope things improve in the yard very soon! We've decided to leave for Utah in the morning, so I'm in pre-trip mode. Dehydrator is running the chard we won't finish from CSA, and I'm getting ready to make a double batch of Kara's Beany Brownies and whole wheat boboli pizzas for travel. I am going to take my big salad-it's too good to leave behind. Other than that, we're travelling very light and simple....oh, except for my bike :cp:...and the pups :rollpin: Love them dearly, but I think that just took the "simple" out of this trip. Now, to some strategic planning where I bake and make the house smell good while DH does all the packing and house cleaning... |
